House on Fire premieres June 5 on BET+. The 8-episode reality series offers an intimate look behind the scenes of modern-day Ballroom culture, inside the esteemed House of Mugler. Thirty years after the legendary documentary Paris is Burning, Ballroom is still a safe space for the marginalized, but today’s Ballroom world is bigger and louder than ever. It follows the relationships and rivalries of seven members of this Chosen Family. The parents juggle impressive careers while mentoring their children. The young ones play chess amongst each other to find their place in the House and make a name for themselves – ball by ball, trophy by trophy. 

Ernie Hudson has been cast in Boston Blue. He joins Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green in the spinoff of CBS’ Blue Bloods. The series follows NYPD officer Danny Reagan as he takes a position with Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. 

The Bondsman has been canceled after one season. The Prime Video series follows Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter, who’s back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell. By chasing down those demons, with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned – which pushes him to seek a second chance at life, love, and country music. 

Netflix has added cast to its upcoming A Different World spinoff pilot. Chibuikem Uche, Maleah Joi Moon, Cornell Young, Jordan Hall and Alijah Kai Higgins will star in the project. The series will follow Dwayne and Whitley’s daughter at an HBCU.

Scarlett Johansson will host the Saturday Night Live season finale May 17 on NBC. Bad Bunny will serve as musical guest on the late night series.

Prime Video announced a multi-title licensing deal with Glitch Productions that brings their creator-led animated web series to the streaming service. The unique deal will bring new audiences to the world of indie animation, starting with sci-fi horror comedy, Murder Drones. The fan-favorite series has garnered over 270 million views on YouTube captivating audiences with its unique blend of humor, horror, and survival in a frozen post-apocalyptic world with hormonal (and sometimes murderous) robots. All eight episodes of this darkly imaginative series are available to watch on Prime Video.

Big Brother returns with its biggest season ever, airing the most original hours of programming in 25 years since its 2000 debut through extended 90-minute Wednesday episodes and the launch of Big Brother: Unlocked on Friday nights throughout the season. The new season kicks off with a 90-minute premiere July 10 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) followed by a 90-minute Sunday episode July 13 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT). Julie Chen Moonves returns as host. Max’s The Pitt will get a run on air. The first season will air on TNT ahead of the second season premiere on HBO Max. The medical drama’s first season ran for fifteen episodes. 

Game of Thrones prequel series A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms will now make its debut on HBO in 2026. The series was initially set to premiere in 2025. 

CNN has announced renewals and new series. Eva Longoria: Searching for France will follow Longoria sampling French cuisine and culture. Tony Shalhoub Breaking Bread will follow Shalhoub around the world. New Orleans will highlight the city featuring interviews with Emeril Lagasse, Wendell Pierce, Malcolm Jenkins, Trombone Shorty and James Carville. Decades of Sports will look back on major sports moments. Have I Got News For You has been renewed for a third season which will premiere September 6. 

Back to the Frontier premieres July 10 on Magnolia Network. The series from Chip and Joanna Gaines follows three American families as they reimagine their lives as 1880s homesteaders, challenged to forgo the comforts of the present day for a more analog life on the frontier. Three families hailing from across the country join together in the wilderness surrounded by ten thousand acres of nature, without the modern conveniences of technology, running water, or electricity. The Lopers (Alabama), Hanna-Riggs (Texas), and Halls (Florida) must live on the frontier for eight weeks, reinforcing their own shelters, raising livestock, collecting food, and rationing their supplies. Through this immersive experience, the families will have to reflect on their relationships and navigate the challenges that come with an 1880s lifestyle.

Scripted miniseries High Value Target will air on TNT. 90 Day: Hunt For Love will air on TLC starting May 26.

ABC has renewed five unscripted series for new seasons. Returning for the 2025-2026 season are America’s Funniest Home Videos (season 36), American Idol (season 24), Celebrity Jeopardy! (season 4), Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (season 6), and Shark Tank (Season 17). 

Fox has ordered medical drama series Best Medicine. The series is based on the British series Doc Martin and will star Josh Charles. The series centers on Martin Best, a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. Unfortunately, Martin’s blunt and borderline rude bedside manner rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, and he quickly alienates the town, even though he’s all they’ve got. Although Martin can expertly address any medical ailment or mystery in this idiosyncratic town, he’s really just desperate to be left the hell alone. Instead, he keeps getting dragged right smack into the middle of their personal chaos, feuds and fantasies. What the locals don’t know is that Martin’s terse demeanor masks a debilitating new phobia and deep-seated psychological issues that prevent him from experiencing true intimacy with anyone. But tenacity is the creed of everyone in their small village, and the people who live there may be exactly what the doctor ordered. 

Peacock has ordered Ted: The Animated Series. The animated series picks up after the Ted films. Seth MacFarlane is set to reprise the voice of the iconic and loveable foul-mouthed teddy bear “Ted.” Original film franchise stars return as series regulars to voice their roles include Mark Wahlberg as “John,” Amanda Seyfried as “Sam,” and Jessica Barth as “Tami-Lynn. Additional series regulars include Kyle Mooney as “Apollo” and Liz Richman as “Ruth.” 

Season two of Peacemaker premieres August 21 on Max. The new season follows Christopher “Chris” Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost. The series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. New cast members include Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. 

Walton Goggins is set to host Saturday Night Live May 10. Arcade Fire will serve as musical guest on the late night NBC series. 

Prime Video has canceled On Call after one season. The series is being shopped to other outlets. The series is an adrenalized and visceral police drama that follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Incorporating a mixture of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community. 

Fox has ordered limited event series The Faithful. The six episode series will be presented over three consecutive weeks during next Easter and Passover season – is based on The Old Testament’s Book of Genesis and told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women whose descendants would shape three of the world’s great faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Dimensional, dramatic, intimate, even shocking, The Faithful is about discovering and losing love, the challenges of marriage, the joys and heartbreak of children, confronting temptation and finding faith. The episodes will be told through the lens of five of The Bible’s most legendary women: Sarah and her former slave Hagar, Sarah’s great-niece Rebekah, and Rebekah’s nieces, sisters Leah and Rachel. 

Peacock has announced a compelling, heartwarming and villainous slate of new unscripted series. New series include Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, Tiffany Haddish Goes Off, Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks, Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets, and season three of House of Villains which moves to the streamer from E!. Previously announced returning series include Love Island USA, Love Island: Beyond The Villa, Love Island Games, Married at First Sight, and The Traitors. 

Season two of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside has begun. The new season will see Charles going undercover at a college. Ted Danson stars in the series. 

Production on season two of hulu’s Rivals has begun. The drama returns with an extended season of twelve episodes, up from eight, and even more wit, desire, and dramatic twists. Noir action series Mercy for None premieres June 6 on Netflix. The series follows Ki-jun, a former underworld figure who severed his own Achilles tendon to leave that life behind 11 years ago. When his brother Ki-seok, once the second-in-command of their organization, is found dead, Ki-jun returns to uncover the truth behind his brother’s death. 

Sports comedy docuseries Sports Gone Wrong premieres June 18 on Vice TV. The series narrated by Joey Mulinaro features commentary from four-time NBA Champion and TV host John Salley, comedian and actor Godfrey, podcaster and media personality Jessica Smetana, and comedian Paul Virzi. Each episode blends comedic commentary with archival footage to break down jaw-dropping sports debacles – from controversial rule-breaking athletes and over-eager fans stealing home runs to infamous on-air moments, out-of-control fights, public scandals, unlikely injuries, and more. Trapped: What Is Happening to Wendy Williams? premieres May 19 on ID. One of the most influential voices in radio, daytime television, and pop culture, Wendy Williams built a storied career over her decades in the entertainment industry. In 2022, following the end of her eponymous talk show and speculation around her mental and physical health, Williams entered into a guardianship. The guardianship eventually revealed Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, and she was placed in a memory care facility in New York City. Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death The Movie will be released in theaters in North America July 16. The film will be released in both English Dub and Japanese with English subtitles. Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Annie Murphy have joined the cast of tubi’s Breaking Bear. They join Elizabeth Hurley and Josh Gad in the adult animated series. The series follows the escapades of three bear siblings who decide they have to start selling drugs in order to raise money and save their home after gas companies start fracking next to their cave. The bears soon enlist other forest animals in a scheme that will pit them against oil companies, The Russian Mafia, local Hell’s Angels and polar bears who hate anything that isn’t white. 

Super Mega Cakes premieres June 16 on Food Network. Legendary chef and artist Duff Goldman has been battling top-tier opponents his whole career, but the new series pushes his skill and talent to the next level. In the six-episode series, Team Duff goes up against six teams of the country’s best cake artists over the course of four days – all at once. With themes from Superman and Architectural Wonders to Classic Cartoons, the results are mind-blowingly realistic pieces of edible art with intricate details and interactive elements. Each episode focuses on one head-to-head build to impress judges Sherry Yard and Amaury Guichon who will determine each week’s most successful cake – while Duff must juggle all six projects at the same time. Shōgun, based on the novel of the same name by James Clavell, is scheduled to begin physical production for season two in January in Vancouver. The CW Network announced it has entered into a multi-year broadcast agreement with the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Beginning in 2026, the CW will air ten action-packed live professional bowling events annually in dedicated, two-hour windows on consecutive Sunday afternoons. The CW’s national reach and consistent scheduling will amplify bowling’s accessibility to both casual and devoted fans.

Quinta Brunson hosts Saturday Night Live May 3 on NBC. Benson Boone will serve as musical guest on the late night series.

CBS has ordered an FBI spinoff series titled CIA. Tom Ellis is set to star in the series which sees Ellis’ CIA officer team up with an FBI agent. They will work together on cases to stop threats. The network has aslo picked up two pilots to series. DMV is a workplace comedy which takes place in a DMV. Einstein is a drama which follows the great grandson of Albert Einstein who helps the police solve cases. 

ABC has renewed Dancing with the Stars for Season 34. Robert Irwin is the first confirmed cast member to compete in the competition. Additional celebrities will be announced at a later point. 

CBS has canceled Poppa’s House and The Summit after one season. The network is also not moving forward with its The Equalizer spinoff, its pilot Zarna, and its The Neighborhood spinoff. 

Season eight of Rick and Morty premieres May 25 on adult swim. Life has meaning again! Anything is possible! Look out for adventures with Summer, Jerry, Beth, and the other Beth. The CW has renewed Totally Funny Animals for a second season. The new season will consist of 100 episodes. The first season consisted of 30 episodes. 

Apple TV+ has ordered a seven episode comedy titled Prodigies. Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri will star in the series. This unusual take on a classic romantic comedy explores the universal complexities of long-term relationships through the lens of a very unique couple. Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe) are two ex-child prodigies who have been together since they were children. Now in their early 30s, they are starting to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood. Inevitably, they find themselves asking the same questions of their relationship. As individual hopes and needs feed into and conflict with their shared lives, the series challenges the fallacy at the heart of romantic storytelling – that the tale is over when the heroes get together. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will return for a new season on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel will return as host of the game show. 

We Were Liars premieres June 18 on Prime Video. The mystery thriller is based on the novel by E. Lockhart. The series follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather’s New England private island. The Sinclairs are American royalty – known for their good looks, old money, and enviable bond – but after a mysterious accident changes Cadence’s life forever, everyone, including her beloved Liars, seems to have something to hide. 

Fox has ordered “social survival of the fittest” competition series, The Snake, and has tapped comedian Jim Jefferies to host the show. For this unmatched battle of plotting, scheming and strategy, The Snake assembles 15 masters of manipulation from various persuasive professions with unique skill sets to compete in an outrageous array of challenges and twists – all of which help contestants move toward becoming that week’s Snake, the most powerful position in the game and ultimate decider of who stays and who goes. Documentary adventure series The Wild Ones premieres July 11 on Apple TV+. The English dub of Anne Shirley premieres April 19 on Crunchyroll. On the beautiful Prince Edward Island in Canada, an orphan named Anne Shirley is mistakenly sent to Green Gables, the home of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. They choose to adopt her anyway, as Anne finds friendship, love, and happiness in her new home. Come along for the story of a purehearted and imaginative girl growing up, leaving for college, and returning home a changed woman.

Disney+ has ordered Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. Sam Witwer will return as the voice of Maul. Witwer first portrayed Maul in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, later reprising the role in Star Wars Rebels. In a new series set after the events of the final season of The Clone Wars, Maul rises again to lead the underworld factions. Maul plots to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. The series will premiere in 2026. 

Prime Video has canceled Clean Slate after one season. This heartfelt comedy follows Harry, an old-school car wash owner in Alabama who has a lot of soul searching to do when the child he once called “son” returns after 17 years as a proud trans woman named Desiree. Her homecoming brings together a hilarious cast of friends, coworkers, and love interests as Desiree and Harry try to get it right the second time around. The series explores universal themes of unconditional love, all through Norman Lear’s signature boundary-pushing brand of comedy. 

The English dub of Blue Box is now streaming on Netflix. Badminton player Taiki has always admired basketball star Chinatsu from afar. But one spring day, a surprising turn brings them unexpectedly close. All 25 episodes are available. 

The final two episodes of the English dub of My Happy Marriage season two will premiere on Netflix April 25.

The Four Seasons premieres on Netflix May 1. Six old friends head for a relaxing weekend away only to learn that one couple in the group is about to split up. The three couples, Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte), Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), and Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani), are completely upended by the news. Over the course of a year, we follow the friends on four vacations, and watch how this shake-up affects everyone’s dynamic – sending old issues and new bubbling to the surface. Based on the 1981 feature film of the same name, it is a hilarious and heartfelt love letter to long marriages and old friendships. 

The Narrow Road to the Deep North premieres April 18 on Prime Video. The series is a savagely beautiful five-part series charting the life of Dorrigo Evans (played by Jacob Elordi as a young man, with Ciarán Hinds as the older Dorrigo), through his passionate love affair with Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young), his time held captive in a POW camp, and his later years spent as a revered surgeon and reluctant war hero. 

BET+ has ordered a Martin spinoff series Varnell Hill. The eight episode series will star Tommy Davidson, who played Varnell Hill in the original Fox series as a guest star. It is expected to feature new characters and some guest cameos. 

Smoke premieres June 27 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through August 8. Inspired by true events, the series follows a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator as they pursue the trails of two serial arsonists. It stars Taron Egerton as arson investigator Dave Gudsen and Jurnee Smollett as police detective Michelle Calderone. It also features Rafe Spall, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Hannah Emily Anderson, Anna Chlumsky, Adina Porter, Greg Kinnear, and John Leguizamo. 

Jessica Capshaw will star in ABC’s upcoming 9-1-1 spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville. She joins Chris O’Donnell as series regulars. 

Laura Linney has joined the cast of MGM+’s upcoming comedy series American Classic. The series centers on Broadway star and notorious narcissist Richard Bean, who suffers a spectacular public meltdown and returns to his hometown and the family-run theater where he first became aware of his own brilliance. When he arrives, he is shocked to discover that his father, the former artistic director, has lost a step and that the once-respected theater, now run by his brother Jon and his wife has become, by necessity, a low-rent dinner theater serving roast beef and murder mysteries. He decides to save the town, the theater, and the world by presenting a great American classic on the dinner theater stage, directed by and starring, of course, Richard Bean. 

James Marsden has joined the cast of Your Friends & Neighbors. Marsden will appear as a series regular in the upcoming second season of the Apple TV+ series. 

Atsuko Okatsuka: Father premieres June 13 on hulu. Fans call her ‘Mother,’ but Atsuko is ‘Father’ – thriving professionally yet clueless about basics. A 7-year laundry hiatus and learning that marriage licenses precede weddings are just some hilariously relatable discoveries she shares in her special. 

Solo Leveling Season 1 is releasing for the first time in North America on Blu-ray from Crunchyroll on July 22. Special features on both the Limited Edition and Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD box sets for Solo Leveling Season 1 include “The Leveling of Solo Leveling” documentary, textless opening and ending videos, a collection of character videos, and more. The Limited Edition also comes with multiple exclusives, including four art cards, a sticker sheet, and a 68-page art book featuring a never-before-seen interview with action director Yoshihiro Kanno, previously released interviews with the Japanese cast and staff, and hand-selected stills. Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Season 1 and Re:Monster will also be arriving on Blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. in both Limited Edition and Standard Edition Blu-ray box sets from Crunchyroll on July 22. Both Limited Edition releases will come with three special art cards. Titles also releasing in North America on Blu-ray in July from Crunchyroll include That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Part 1 and The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human. 

Season seven of The Real Housewives of Miami premieres soon on Bravo. Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth all return. 

The English dub of The Beginning After the End premieres April 16 on Crunchyroll. After a mysterious death, King Grey is reborn as Arthur Leywin on the magical continent of Dicathen. Mama June: Family Crisis returns May 30 on WE tv. This season, June fights for custody of Kaitlyn after Anna’s tragic passing. Kevin Costner’s The West premieres May 26 on The History Channel with back to back episodes. The series follows the maniacally upbeat Husseins – the most patriotic, most peaceful, and most definitely-not-suspicious Muslim family in post-9/11 “Amreeka.” With satire and absurdity, it redefines finding humor in hardship as they navigate the early 2000s under the watchful eyes of their terrified neighbors.
