NBC has begun making decisions on its bubble series. The network has canceled Night Court, Lopez vs Lopez, Found, The Irrational, and Suits: LA.

ABC has renewed five unscripted series for new seasons. Returning for the 2025-2026 season are America’s Funniest Home Videos (season 36), American Idol (season 24), Celebrity Jeopardy! (season 4), Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (season 6), and Shark Tank (Season 17).

Fox has ordered medical drama series Best Medicine. The series is based on the British series Doc Martin and will star Josh Charles. The series centers on Martin Best, a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. Unfortunately, Martin’s blunt and borderline rude bedside manner rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, and he quickly alienates the town, even though he’s all they’ve got. Although Martin can expertly address any medical ailment or mystery in this idiosyncratic town, he’s really just desperate to be left the hell alone. Instead, he keeps getting dragged right smack into the middle of their personal chaos, feuds and fantasies. What the locals don’t know is that Martin’s terse demeanor masks a debilitating new phobia and deep-seated psychological issues that prevent him from experiencing true intimacy with anyone. But tenacity is the creed of everyone in their small village, and the people who live there may be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Peacock has ordered Ted: The Animated Series. The animated series picks up after the Ted films. Seth MacFarlane is set to reprise the voice of the iconic and loveable foul-mouthed teddy bear “Ted.” Original film franchise stars return as series regulars to voice their roles include Mark Wahlberg as “John,” Amanda Seyfried as “Sam,” and Jessica Barth as “Tami-Lynn. Additional series regulars include Kyle Mooney as “Apollo” and Liz Richman as “Ruth.”

Season two of Peacemaker premieres August 21 on Max. The new season follows Christopher “Chris” Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost. The series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. New cast members include Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows.

Walton Goggins is set to host Saturday Night Live May 10. Arcade Fire will serve as musical guest on the late night NBC series.

Prime Video has canceled On Call after one season. The series is being shopped to other outlets. The series is an adrenalized and visceral police drama that follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Incorporating a mixture of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.

Fox has ordered limited event series The Faithful. The six episode series will be presented over three consecutive weeks during next Easter and Passover season – is based on The Old Testament’s Book of Genesis and told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women whose descendants would shape three of the world’s great faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Dimensional, dramatic, intimate, even shocking, The Faithful is about discovering and losing love, the challenges of marriage, the joys and heartbreak of children, confronting temptation and finding faith. The episodes will be told through the lens of five of The Bible’s most legendary women: Sarah and her former slave Hagar, Sarah’s great-niece Rebekah, and Rebekah’s nieces, sisters Leah and Rachel.

Peacock has announced a compelling, heartwarming and villainous slate of new unscripted series. New series include Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, Tiffany Haddish Goes Off, Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks, Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets, and season three of House of Villains which moves to the streamer from E!. Previously announced returning series include Love Island USA, Love Island: Beyond The Villa, Love Island Games, Married at First Sight, and The Traitors.

Season two of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside has begun. The new season will see Charles going undercover at a college. Ted Danson stars in the series.

Production on season two of hulu’s Rivals has begun. The drama returns with an extended season of twelve episodes, up from eight, and even more wit, desire, and dramatic twists. Set against the backdrop of the stunning Cotswolds countryside and the glamorous, high-stakes world of 1980s British television, the second installment will see the return of the all-star cast that won the hearts of fans and critics alike as well as introducing brand new faces.

Netflix has ordered its first Nordic medical drama starring Sara Khorami in the lead role. At the emergency ward, it doesn’t matter who you are – rich or poor, influencer, carpenter, or minister. If you’ve broken something, if you’re bleeding, or if you need help, you’ll get it. Despite low staffing, little time, perhaps one too many cups of coffee, and a demanding crowd of patients, a team of exhausted but resilient doctors and nurses are ready to help. Sofia (Sara Khorami), a surgeon with more talent than patience, is sent into this chaotic environment to save her own career – the last place she wants to be. There, she encounters disorder, resistance, and something she never expected: warmth, community… and love. Suddenly, she faces a choice: continue alone on her path to the top, or become part of something greater – a bond she never knew she needed. A family.

Noir action series Mercy for None premieres June 6 on Netflix. The series follows Ki-jun, a former underworld figure who severed his own Achilles tendon to leave that life behind 11 years ago. When his brother Ki-seok, once the second-in-command of their organization, is found dead, Ki-jun returns to uncover the truth behind his brother’s death.

Sports comedy docuseries Sports Gone Wrong premieres June 18 on Vice TV. The series narrated by Joey Mulinaro features commentary from four-time NBA Champion and TV host John Salley, comedian and actor Godfrey, podcaster and media personality Jessica Smetana, and comedian Paul Virzi. Each episode blends comedic commentary with archival footage to break down jaw-dropping sports debacles – from controversial rule-breaking athletes and over-eager fans stealing home runs to infamous on-air moments, out-of-control fights, public scandals, unlikely injuries, and more. Salley, Godfrey, Smetana, and Virzi react to questionable NFL team theme songs; test Michael Jordan’s cologne; play “Shaq Fu;” give their take on the infamous 1996 Orioles-Yankees Jeffrey Maier playoff game; pick sides in the 1984 Copa del Rey final brawl; and much more.

Trapped: What Is Happening to Wendy Williams? premieres May 19 on ID. One of the most influential voices in radio, daytime television, and pop culture, Wendy Williams built a storied career over her decades in the entertainment industry. In 2022, following the end of her eponymous talk show and speculation around her mental and physical health, Williams entered into a guardianship. The guardianship eventually revealed Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, and she was placed in a memory care facility in New York City. Despite the guardianship’s claims about Williams’ current state, her fanbase has activated a #FreeWendy movement calling for Williams to have the opportunity to regain control of her life. The special goes inside this push for Williams’ release, provides info into her rise to fame and influence on pop culture and chronicles the personal and professional struggles leading to her guardianship.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death The Movie will be released in theaters in North America July 16. The film will be released in both English Dub and Japanese with English subtitles. Before they were enemies, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were high school classmates and friends. Pursued by a religious cult and other curse users, they are the only sorcerers capable of carrying out such a difficult task – but this mission will set their destinies, and challenge the two sorcerers in ways unimaginable. Onyx Collective’s How To Die Alone has been canceled at hulu after one season. The series follows Mel, a broke, fat, Black JFK airport employee who’s never been in love and forgotten how to dream, until an accidental brush with death catapults her on a journey to finally take flight and start living by any means necessary.

Prime Video has ordered docuseries For the Win: NWSL. The immersive 4-part docuseries offers unprecedented access into the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) playoffs and Championship. The series will take fans behind the scenes of one of the most thrilling seasons in NWSL history, chronicling the intensity, resilience, and passion that define the league’s top teams and star players as they battle for the ultimate prize: the Championship trophy. With players like Alex Morgan and defending 2024 NWSL Champion Orlando Pride legend Marta solidifying their legacies and emerging stars like Trinity Rodman and Croix Bethune from the Washington Spirit picking up the torch, the series delves into the lives of the athletes who have become icons on and off the field. Through exclusive interviews, locker-room access, and heart-pounding match highlights, the documentary captures the nostalgia, emotion, and fierce competition that shapes a playoff run within the fastest growing league in the world.

Peacock has canceled Hysteria! after one season. When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.

Fox has set premiere dates for two returning series The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit premiere March 25. In The Cleaning Lady, after three seasons of being a pawn caught between the FBI and the world of organized crime, THONY makes the bold decision to take charge of her own destiny – by exchanging her cleaning lady uniform for the scrubs of a surgical intern at a small community hospital. Thony’s return to the medical career she sacrificed for her son, LUCA, opens a new path to citizenship for them both. But in order to make this happen, she must continue her service to the Sin Cara cartel – not as a cleaning lady, but as the new mob doctor – bringing her ever closer to JORGE, the cartel’s brooding new leader. Returning for season three, Alert: Missing Persons Unit is a procedural drama set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit (MPU). Each episode features a heart-pounding, life-or-death search for a missing person, with JASON GRANT working his magic out in the field and NIKKI BATISTA heading the team. Their job is to find the missing or abducted and reunite them with their loved ones. Jason and Nikki, once married, have a very personal connection to these cases as their own son went missing and was never found.

Jelly Roll will appear on the upcoming season of American Idol, premiering March 9, with a preview March 2 on ABC. The country singer will appear as an “artist in residence” and will work closely with the Idol hopefuls, giving them firsthand advice on how to navigate the journey.

House of Knives premieres March 18 on Food Network. Food Network welcomes a roster of top-tier chefs to the ultimate culinary arena in the epic new series House of Knives, where talented, innovative and ruthless contenders must use their cooking, strategy and survival skills to make it to the throne. Led by host Scott Conant and esteemed Culinary Council members Judy Joo and Marcus Samuelsson, the eight-episode competition names a weekly ruler based on challenges that reflect the contenders’ personal stories, food influences and cultures, while the least successful chefs are banished. There are always six players in the game, so eliminations are followed with a dramatic reveal: a brand-new legendary chef entering the arena. Chefs competing for the House of Knives throne over the season include Anne Burrell, Shirley Chung, Kelsey Bernard Clark, Poppy O’Toole, Viet Pham, Jonathon Sawyer, Martel Stone, John Tesar and Claudette Zepeda.

Netflix’s Physical: 100 returns on a grander scale as Physical: Asia. This season, the arena expands beyond individuals to a full-blown national competition. While the previous season featured 100 contestants vying solo for the ultimate physique, the series raises the stakes with top-tier athletes representing their respective countries – battling not just for personal glory, but also for national pride. If one team member fails, the entire team goes down, making every moment a pulse-pounding fight for survival. Who will claim the title of the strongest nation with the strongest physique when the dust settles?

Season two of Marie Antoinette premieres March 23 on PBS. The period drama continues to chronicle the life of one of history’s most influential and controversial figures. Emilia Schüle returns as the title character, Marie Antoinette, and Louis Cunningham reprises his role as Louis XVI. The new season sees Antoinette and Louis facing unprecedented challenges at the height of their power. As financial crises loom across the nation and political rivalries intensify, the royal couple must navigate an increasingly hostile court and a changing France. From Versailles to the Palais Royal, the seeds of a revolution began to take root, threatening the very foundations of France’s long-standing monarchy.

A first look sneak peak of Iyanu will premiere February 17 on Cartoon Network. The series will premiere in April on both Cartoon Network and Max.

Netflix has ordered That Night based on the novel by Gillian McAllister. During a family vacation in the Dominican Republic, Elena accidentally hits a man with her car. Desperate and frightened, she calls her sisters, Paula and Cris, asking for help. Upon arrival, they must decide how to handle the accident, as they cannot bear the thought of their younger sister going to jail, leaving her only child without a mother. How far will they be willing to go to help protect their family?

Denise Richards and Her Wild Things premieres March 4 on Bravo. The first time Richards opened up her family life for a reality series more than 15 years ago, she was navigating a notoriously difficult marriage, intense scrutiny and tabloid attention all while raising two young girls. This time around, life is more complicated and unpredictable. Richards and her family, which includes daughters Sami, Lola and Eloise, and husband Aaron, show us what their famous, loving and hilarious life is like.

Netflix’s Last Samurai Standing will premiere this November. The series is based on the “Ikusagami” series by historical novelist Shogo Imamura, a recipient of the 166th Naoki Prize. Praised as a highly entertaining historical novel, the story is set in the late 19th century, as the age of the samurai was coming to an end. In the Meiji period, at Tenryuji Temple in Kyoto, 292 skilled warriors gathered at nightfall, lured by the promise of a huge cash prize. The rules are simple: whoever can steal the wooden tags distributed to each of them and reach Tokyo will win the prize money. Among them is Shujiro Saga, who enters the deadly game with one goal: to save his ailing wife and child.

Extracted premieres February 10 on Fox. The series features 12 untrained competitors attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed. The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ. Each amateur survivalist’s family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous “Extract” button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition. Extracted begs the question: how far will their loved ones let them go for a chance for their family to win $250,000? Tensions mount and strategic alliances are forged, as the opposing families negotiate and compete to send essential lifelines and resources to their competitors in the wild, to help them endure the harsh conditions they are faced with. Pressure reaches a fever pitch as each family is faced with the critical decision – will they push their loved one to the brink or push the Button?

Berlin ER premieres February 26 on Apple TV+. Managing a chaotic emergency room in the toughest and most overcrowded hospital in Berlin is no small task for the young Dr. Parker, who is seeking a fresh start in the big city after her private life implodes in Munich. When she tries to implement necessary reforms, Parker is confronted with resistance from the underpaid, ill-equipped and chronically fatigued hospital staff who only survive with an indispensable dose of black humor. But in the face of an increasingly merciless health care system, the battered team must put aside their differences and pull together to save lives.

Season two of The Exchange premieres February 13 on Netflix. After their big break into Kuwait’s male-dominated stock market, will Farida and Munira keep rising to success – or lose everything they’ve worked for?

Jay & Pamela premieres March 4 on TLC. The heartfelt new series follows a couple who also happen to share the same rare brittle bone disorder. Their lives are full of unique and difficult physical challenges, but their enduring enthusiasm is contagious. With plans to marry and a goal to live more independently, Jay and Pamela navigate the world in their motorized wheelchairs, determined to build the life of their dreams together. At 3 feet and four inches tall (although Pamela insists she’s a bit taller than Jay), Jay and Pamela’s journey is a testament to resilience. Both born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 (OI), a condition that causes fragile bones, doctors once predicted they wouldn’t live past five, or even one. Yet, at 28 and 30, they’ve defied the odds, even though they’ve had over 200 bone fractures throughout their lives. Jay and Pamela met online, bonded over their shared experiences, fell in love, and eventually, Pamela moved across state lines to come live with Jay and his supportive parents, Raphael and Rene.

Goldie premieres February 14 on Apple TV+. Inspired by Emily Brundige’s award-winning 2019 short film of the same name, the 13 half-hour episodes follow Goldie, a giant girl with a big heart, as she sets off on epic adventures with her best friends in their beloved town of Boysenberg. Together, they learn that being different is something to celebrate, and that there’s space for everyone in this world – even giants.

It is a fictionalized dramatization and examination of the violent collision of culture, religion, and community as men and women fight and die to keep or control this land.

On Call premieres January 9 on Prime Video with all eight episodes.
