CBS has renewed daytime drama series Beyond the Gates for a second season. Since its debut, the series has improved the time period +48% in broadcast viewership. Additionally, it is up +67% in multiplatform viewership from last years’ time period and beats ABC’s General Hospital by +7% among W25-54 on broadcast. The series is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States; a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those who live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have “made it” and those who haven’t are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others.

Too Much premieres July 10 on Netflix. Jessica is a New York workaholic in her mid-thirties, reeling from a broken relationship that she thought would last forever and slowly isolating everyone she knows. When every block in New York tells a story of her own bad behaviour, the only solution is to take a job in London, where she plans to live a life of solitude like a Bronte sister. But when she meets Felix – a walking series of red flags – she finds that their unusual connection is impossible to ignore, even as it creates more problems than it solves. Now they have to ask themselves: do Americans and Brits actually speak the same language?

Fallout has been renewed for a third season. The renewal comes ahead of its upcoming second season, which is set to premiere in December 2025. The series is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind – and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

Limited series Untamed premieres July 17 on Netflix. The series is a character-driven mystery-thriller that follows Kyle Turner, a special agent for the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature’s vast wilderness. The investigation of a brutal death sends Turner on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park, and in his own past.

Peacock’s The Paper will premiere this September. The mockumentary from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman is set in the same universe as NBC’s The Office, and features the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch. The crew is in search of a new subject when they discover a historic Toledo newspaper, The Truth Teller, and the eager publisher that is trying to revive it. The series stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and The Office star Oscar Nuñez.

Lupin will return for Part 4 on Netflix. Omar Sy reprises his iconic role as Assane Diop, the gentleman thief, inspired by the work and character ‘Arsène Lupin’ created by Maurice Leblanc.

Apple TV+ today announced it has landed Wild Things, a new limited series that will Jude Law and Andrew Garfield as renowned showmen Siegfried & Roy. The eight-episode, hour-long series, tells the wild ride relationship tale of two of the greatest showman-magicians in history who, along with their white tigers, are tasked with turning Sin City into a family-friendly destination. The duo push the concept of illusion versus reality to the extreme, personally and professionally, until tragedy reframes and opens a mystery surrounding their last fateful Las Vegas show. The series will be available in both black and white and color.

Apple TV+ has ordered Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars. The eight episode docuseries will be hosted by Jesse Burgess. From attempting to gain their first, tirelessly working to secure their distinction, or striving to gain a second or an elusive third star – each chef faces a deeply personal challenge. The Michelin Star is the most prestigious culinary award in the world, recognizing the finest ingredients cooked to the highest possible standards. Filmed in cities from Los Angeles to London, Mexico City to Copenhagen, each chef attempts to win a Star or face the crushing blow of losing one, as Michelin Guide’s team of inspectors use false identities and phone numbers to dine anonymously. After all, the rewards for culinary perfection are great, and only the very best will secure their spot on The Michelin Guide’s exclusive list.

A Barbershop series is coming soon to Prime Video. Starring Jermaine Fowler, the television adaptation of the franchise revolves around Travis “Trav” Porter, who endeavors to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, a legendary barber at the iconic “Calvin’s” barbershop in Chicago. And while the barbers are new, the shop remains just as lively, the customers just as argumentative, and the fades are still the dopest in the city – because at Calvin’s, the community comes together for way more than just a haircut.

Losing your memory is a devastating hammer blow for anyone, but for Angelo Ledda, the stakes couldn’t be higher. His hit man job would be perilous enough, but there’s an added pressure. Angelo lives two totally separate lives – fearsome NYC hitman and sleepy upstate Cooperstown photocopier salesman and father. Having built and maintained a brick wall between his two worlds, Angelo has seamlessly juggled and compartmentalized for years. But now that’s all about to change. Because Alzheimer’s is a foe he can’t outrun, and he knows too well how this ends, as his older brother is already lost to the condition. Angelo is exceptionally resourceful and talented, the best of the best. But he’s about to be tested like never before – and now every minute counts. This is only made more difficult when he discovers that his wife’s recent death may not have been an accident. So, when someone comes after his daughter – who is pregnant – it’s clear the wall between his lives has been breached. Angelo must stop whoever’s coming for his family by searching his past hits for clues, and the list is very long. Now Angelo must hunt down his mortal enemy while continuing to carry out hits without giving away his diagnosis and still making it home in time to cook dinner for his daughter. Memory of a Killer is a redemptive story about a man who is losing his memory but gaining a conscience. Because Angelo knows he must stop history from repeating itself and save his family – before he forgets the past.

Filmmaker Lynn Novick will direct and produce a new, three-part series on the history of New York City’s Central Park for PBS. The series is expected to air on PBS in 2028. It will follow the evolution of the Park from its inception in the mid-19th century as the rapidly growing city expanded northward, through competing ideas about park use and controversy over “encroachments” in the 20th century, to the near demise of the Park during New York’s fiscal crisis of the 1970s, and finally, to its preeminence today. It will examine evolving ideas about urban development and the social purpose of public spaces, with a focus on the Park as a naturalistic environment conceived, created, and maintained by and for people. Over three episodes Novick will introduce viewers to the remarkable individuals who designed and built the Park, as well as many people who have shaped it – for better and for worse – over the decades. The filmmakers also examine bitter conflicts about access and development, contrasting the pressures of greater commercialization and development with those who have sought to restore and preserve the Park.

Jack Black is set to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on April 4. Musical guests will be Elton John and Brandi Carlile.

Anime series To Be Hero X premieres April 5 on Crunchyroll. The series will air both in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub the same day. This is a world where heroes are created by people’s trust, and the hero who gains the most trust is known as X. In this world, people’s trust can be quantified through data, and these values are reflected on everyone’s wrist. As long as one gains enough trust points, an ordinary person can possess superpowers and become a superhero who saves the world. However, the constantly changing trust values make the path of a hero full of uncertainties. While the previous two series in the franchise, To Be Hero and To Be Heroine stream on Crunchyroll in Japanese with English subtitles, the new series stands on its own.

Earnhardt premieres Memorial Day Weekend on Prime Video. The history of the Earnhardt family is the history of NASCAR – you can’t tell the story of one without the other – and at the center of the Earnhardt family was Dale Earnhardt Sr., the most influential figure the sport has ever known. A charismatic, working-class hero to millions of fans, Dale Sr. spent the better part of two decades as the most visible figure in stock car racing, breaking through the confines of the sport’s regional fan base to mainstream notoriety, racking up millions in endorsement deals from Coca-Cola to Wheaties, and appearing on daytime TV and late-night talk shows. From one generation to the next, racing would bring the Earnhardt family together, but it wasn’t always an easy road. Now, with unparalleled access and never before seen archival material, the docuseries promises a profound, revealing, and definitive account of a historic American family.

A new season of Grantchester premieres June 15 on PBS. Stars Robson Green and Rishi Nair will both return as DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram, in another season of crime solving in the picturesque village.

Prime Video has ordered three part docuseries Taurasi. The series chronicles the extraordinary story of basketball legend Diana Taurasi, whose relentless pursuit of greatness has transcended the boundaries of sport. Pioneer. Iconoclast. G.O.A.T. These words – and more – describe the remarkable arc of basketball legend Diana Taurasi, whose personal and professional journey to the top of her sport are truly singular. Highlighted by three NCAA Championships at the University of Connecticut, three Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) titles with the Phoenix Mercury, six Olympic gold medals, and six Euroleague crowns, Taurasi established a new standard for excellence, crafting a resume – and creating an on-court style – that may never be equaled. Taurasi’s journey to the top has been as complex as it is remarkable. Fiercely competitive and unapologetic, she has navigated scrutiny both on and off the court, including stints playing abroad in Russia and Turkey. Through it all, her unwavering loyalty to teammates and devotion to family have defined her just as much as her brilliant and fearless style of play. Now, through incisive, remarkably candid interviews with Taurasi, her relatives, teammates, coaches, journalists and others who’ve witnessed her path first-hand, this three-part documentary series, titled Taurasi, will reveal an at once funny, defiant, vulnerable, and deeply relatable athlete, whose authenticity and commitment to greatness have revolutionized women’s basketball.

DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE will premiere in theaters June 6. The movie event will feature the premiere of the first three episodes of DAN DA DAN season two plus an exclusive interview with co-directors Fuga Yamashiro & Abel Gongora. Screenings in North America will have both Japanese with English subtitles and English dub showtimes. The series streams on Crunchyroll, hulu and Netflix.

Rotten Legacy premieres May 16 on Netflix. Federico is forced to step away from his communication companies to recover from an illness that kept him sidelined for two years. Upon his return, he discovers that his children have become strangers and are steering the business in a direction he despises. He will stop at nothing to prevent them from destroying his legacy.

Several new titles have been added to Crunchyroll’s spring lineup. Series include Kowloon Generic Romance, Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2, Apocalypse Hotel, Maebashi Witches, and SHIROHIYO – Reincarnated as a Neglected Noble: Raising My Baby Brother With Memories From My Past Life.

The new season of Gold Rush: White Water premieres April 25 on Discovery Channel. Last year, Dustin Hurt’s crew struck a 6-ounce, $70K nugget – the biggest in Gold Rush history. This season, he’s risking everything for more. It’s all or nothing – a gamble that could make them millions or end their mining careers forever.

All Access PD: Grand Rapids premieres April 8 on ID. The new series offers unprecedented access to the inner workings of the Grand Rapids Police Department. It takes viewers inside the department, revealing the emotion and high-stakes investigations that come with wearing the badge. With crews following the officers daily and cameras embedded in squad cars and stationed throughout the police department, it captures every moment.
