Fallon recruited Bozoma Saint John as the On Brand Agency’s Chief Marketing Officer, where she will mentor the creatives and evaluate their work.

In each episode, the On Brand Agency creatives will work with a major brand in need of a big idea for a massive, high-priority campaign – from creating earworm jingles and unbelievable activations to producing the most quotable commercials and must-have merchandise. They will have unprecedented access to the client’s businesses before pitching their vision to a brand representative, along with Saint John and Fallon, with only the best ideas moving on to proof of concept and the opportunity to see their campaign brought to life on the national stage after each episode.

The “On Brand” format will be licensed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group.

“On Brand with Jimmy Fallon” is produced by B17 Entertainment and Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Electric Hot Dog. Executive producers are Jimmy Fallon, Brien Meagher, Rhett Bachner, Pip Wells and Kelly Powers. Creative Artists Agency’s (CAA) Media & Entertainment Partnerships division serves as a collaborative business partner with NBCUniversal to bring leading brands to the show.

“SURVIVING EARTH”

NBC is going way back in time to see how life not only survived cataclysmic events but thrived in the unscripted special event series order “Surviving Earth.”

A co-production between Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, and UK indie Loud Minds, the eight-episode “Surviving Earth” will take an incredible journey into prehistory to learn the lessons from past mass extinctions.

Adopting cutting-edge digital technology, each episode transports the viewer back to meet the bizarre and amazing creatures and breathtaking landscapes of a vibrant lost world. Audiences will witness how life finds a way to survive on a planet where meteors fall, super volcanoes erupt, seas boil and the land moves. From the creators of “Walking with Dinosaurs” and “Primeval,” these are the stories of the survivors, fighters and lucky ones that shaped the world we live in.

Hit-Monkey returns for season two on hulu July 15. In New York City, Monkey finds a path to escape his life of killing, while Bryce attempts to repair the damage to those he wronged in life. But what will it cost them to undo the past?

NBC has ordered five more episodes of St. Denis Medical. The new episodes bring the total episode order to 18 episodes. This now matches Tuesday night companion comedy series Night Court at 18 episodes.

Adult Swim has renewed My Adventures with Superman for a third season. The coming-of-age story is centered on twenty-somethings Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as they discover who they are, together. The network has also picked up Get Jiro and Super Mutant Magic Academy to series. Based on the graphic novel by Anthony Bourdain, Get Jiro is set in a not-too-distant future L.A. where master chefs rule the town and people literally kill for a seat at the best restaurants. A mysterious sushi master named Jiro enters a bloody culinary war and begins to craft his recipe for revenge. Super Mutant Magic Academy, based on the comic series by Jillian Tamaki, is set at a high school where the student body is a mix of mutants and “regular” kids. Through eyes of Marsha, a sardonic new transfer student with a mysterious past, the series follows the awkward high school struggles and occasional triumphs of a diverse cast of teens as they stumble through romance, friendships and growing mutant powers.

Comedic investigative series Brain Works premieres June 15 on Netflix. Cha Tae-hyun is a detective with an altruistic brain. Jung Yong-hwa is a neuroscientist with an extraordinary brain. The two can’t stand each other but must partner up to solve a crime involving a rare brain disease.

Ryan Seacrest will host the new season of Wheel of Fortune this fall. He replaces Pat Sajak who stepped down after 41 seasons. Vanna White will continue to co-host with Seacrest.

Season three of Barbecue Showdown premieres July 4 on Netflix. The competition is bigger, and blazing hot! Nine of the best barbecuers from across the country will have to master the flame in an open fire playground, and create mouth-watering, boundary-pushing barbecue, for a $50,000 prize. Actress and comedian Michelle Buteau serves as host, and joins world-class BBQ judges Melissa Cookston and Kevin Bludso to crown the next great pitmaster.

Danielle Savre has been cast in NBC’s Found. Savre will recur in the second season which will air on Thursdays. No details have been revealed about who she will be playing.

An animated Blue Beetle series is in the works at Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios. The potential series will build on the film of the same name. No cast members are attached to the project yet.

The Humanoid Typhoon returns just in time for the end of summer with Crunchyroll bringing a limited edition Blu-ray™ and DVD combo pack of TRIGUN STAMPEDE with exclusive collectibles and in-depth special features. Additionally, Earthians and Spacians alike will be excited to also find Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury Seasons 1 and 2 as SteelBooks in the Crunchyroll Store exclusively. Pre-orders are open now, with both titles available on September 10. The TRIGUN STAMPEDE Limited Edition Blu-ray and DVD combo box set will bring fans to No Man’s Land with a Project Seeds Patch, Jeneora Rock Drink Coasters, a 12×18-inch copy of the Bernardelli Times, and three art cards. Special features will include special behind-the-scenes interviews and a making-of video on how they developed the CG animation  Also releasing on Blu-ray from Crunchyroll this September will be Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island, Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 1, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie – Scarlet Bond, Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage, and more.

Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing returns July 14 on Discovery Channel. Fourteen Naked and Afraid All-Stars test their primitive survival skills in the punishing African bush for 45-days. The group, a mix of fan favorites and polarizing personalities, will risk everything for a chance to take home a coveted cash prize and be crowned the Last One Standing. Competitors will arrive empty handed and must earn the tools they need to secure food, water, fire and shelter through grueling, multi-phase challenges. In an unexpected twist, a head-to-head challenge occurs on Day One, resulting in a double elimination before the survivalists even get to camp. The stakes are even higher in this season’s competition because survivalists will not be allowed to share any of their tools with fellow participants.

In the Eye of the Storm premieres July 14 on Discovery Channel. Megastorms like 2021’s Hurricane Ida and the 2023 Maui Wildfires were captured by onlookers who found themselves in the wrong place at the right time and boldly held up their camera phones to document their experiences. Stories this season include ordinary people filming: their brushes with death as a monstrous system unleashes destructive tornadoes in Lewistown, IL; their frightening attempts to escape when a rare derecho superstorm blasts through Nebraska and Iowa; and their taking to the sea for any chance of survival when a hurricane turned a small wildfire into an inferno in Hawaii.

Food Network has renewed Ciao House for a second season. Hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabriele Bertaccini, Ciao House’s inaugural eight-episode season debuted April 16 and wrapped June 4. Shot on-location in Italy, the series takes ten rising culinary stars on the journey of a lifetime to live in a breathtaking Italian villa and compete against each other as individuals and in teams to prove their mastery of Italian cooking techniques and dishes. Each episode’s culinary challenges are steeped in tradition and the competitors must also navigate alliances and rivalries as they pick their own teams and each week, the losing team must vote off one of their own. In the end, the last chef standing wins a life-changing grand prize: an immersive culinary education across Italy, training with renowned Italian master chefs. Production on the new season is scheduled to begin later this year.

The CW has picked up The Chosen to make its broadcast premiere. The first three season will begin airing July 16 with the season three finale set to air on Christmas Eve. The series is a historical drama about the life of Jesus as seen through the eyes of His followers. Set against the backdrop of Jewish oppression in first-century Israel, the seven-season show shares an authentic and intimate look at Jesus’ revolutionary life and teachings. The fourth season is currently in production.

NBC has ordered comedy St. Denis Medical to series. A mockumentary about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity. It stars Wendi McClendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Mekki Leeper and Kahyun Kim. NBC still has three other pilots in consideration, comedy Non-Evil Twin, and dramas Untitled Jenna Bans/Bill Krebs and Wolf.

ABC has passed on four of its pilots. Comedies Public Defenders and Keeping It Together and dramas The Hurt Unit and Judgement will not be moving forward. The Good Doctor backdoor spinoff pilot The Good Lawyer is still in contention. Still awaiting their fates are also comedy series Home Economics and drama series The Rookie: Feds.

Skull Island premieres on Netflix June 22. Shipwrecked in the South Pacific, a group of explorers encounter a menagerie of fearsome creatures — including the giant ape who rules the island: Kong. Welcome back to his island. The next chapter of the Monsterverse begins.

Paranormal Caught on Camera returns for a new season on Travel Channel July 9. In each hour-long episode, a panel of both returning and new experts breaks down the footage and analyzes what exactly the eyewitnesses captured, from Bigfoot sightings to glitches in the matrix, shape-shifting extraterrestrials, headless apparitions, monsters under the bed, mysterious lights in the sky, possessed dolls, UFOs and much more. Insights from some of the most knowledgeable specialists in the field, and firsthand accounts from the people lucky enough – or perhaps unlucky enough – to witness these strange phenomena for themselves, just might make a believer of even the biggest skeptics out there.

Efforts to shop Walker Independence following its cancellation at The CW have come up short. There will be no second season of the Walker prequel series. The series starred Katherine McNamara and Matt Barr. Mothership series Walker will return for a thirteen episode fourth season on The CW at midseason.

Phylicia Rashad, Shannon Wallace, and Jon Chaffin have been cast in BET+’s Diarra from Detroit. They join the series alongside previously announced cast members Diarra Kilpatrick, Morris Chestnut, DomiNque Perry, Claudia Logan, and Bryan Terrell Clark. The series follows a divorcing schoolteacher who refuses to believe she’s been ghosted by her rebound Tinder date. Her search for the missing man pulls her into a decades-old mystery involving the Detroit underworld. As the case unfolds, her co-workers, friends, and lovers become unlikely allies as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole.

Ella Grace Helton has joined season three of Sweet Magnolias in a recasting. Helton will replace Bianca Berry Tarantino as Katie Townsend, the daughter of the characters played by Joanna Garcia Swisher and Chris Klein. Season three premieres July 20 on Netflix.

Travel memoir series You Are Here premieres on AMC June 19 hosted by Colman Domingo. The series takes viewers on intimate tours of the cities, places and hidden spots that hold special meaning in Domingo’s life story with four episodes dedicated to Savannah, Philadelphia, New York City and Chicago. Throughout the series, Domingo revisits the locations pivotal to his growth as an artist and an individual, and the web of communities, people and found family who thrive there, and who lifted him up.
