NEW UNSCRIPTED SERIES

Fallon recruited Bozoma Saint John as the On Brand Agency’s Chief Marketing Officer, where she will mentor the creatives and evaluate their work.

In each episode, the On Brand Agency creatives will work with a major brand in need of a big idea for a massive, high-priority campaign – from creating earworm jingles and unbelievable activations to producing the most quotable commercials and must-have merchandise. They will have unprecedented access to the client’s businesses before pitching their vision to a brand representative, along with Saint John and Fallon, with only the best ideas moving on to proof of concept and the opportunity to see their campaign brought to life on the national stage after each episode.

The “On Brand” format will be licensed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group.

“On Brand with Jimmy Fallon” is produced by B17 Entertainment and Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Electric Hot Dog. Executive producers are Jimmy Fallon, Brien Meagher, Rhett Bachner, Pip Wells and Kelly Powers. Creative Artists Agency’s (CAA) Media & Entertainment Partnerships division serves as a collaborative business partner with NBCUniversal to bring leading brands to the show.

“SURVIVING EARTH”

NBC is going way back in time to see how life not only survived cataclysmic events but thrived in the unscripted special event series order “Surviving Earth.”

A co-production between Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, and UK indie Loud Minds, the eight-episode “Surviving Earth” will take an incredible journey into prehistory to learn the lessons from past mass extinctions.

Adopting cutting-edge digital technology, each episode transports the viewer back to meet the bizarre and amazing creatures and breathtaking landscapes of a vibrant lost world. Audiences will witness how life finds a way to survive on a planet where meteors fall, super volcanoes erupt, seas boil and the land moves. From the creators of “Walking with Dinosaurs” and “Primeval,” these are the stories of the survivors, fighters and lucky ones that shaped the world we live in.

Seemingly underpowered, he makes use of his unwanted skills to live a (surprisingly comfortable) life as a lone wolf…but his classmates soon learn their “superior” abilities aren’t as great as they’re cracked up to be, and Haruka may have to come to their rescue using ingenuity, creativity, and the leftover powers his classmates once snubbed. Limited series Zero Day premieres on Netflix February 20. In the wake of a devastating cyber attack, a former President is tasked with finding the perpetrators and seeking truth when another attack is imminent – but is the greatest threat a foreign power, or from within? Robert De Niro stars in his first series role.

Anime series MF Ghost has been renewed for a third season. The series streams on Crunchyroll. Japan adopts self-driving electric automobiles and renders most gas engines obsolete by 202X. The fastest cars find new life in the MFG, a racing circuit held on Japanese motorways. Drivers from around the world race for a shot at the title. Kanata Rivington returns from Britain to Japan for the MFG—and to find his father. Can he win the title and find answers? Buckle up and push it to the limit!

Crime drama series The Hunting Party premieres February 3 on NBC. When a secret prison suffers a mysterious explosion that allows the nation’s most violent serial killers to escape, a former profiler is thrust back into a thrilling game of cat and mouse. Alongside a team of soldiers, spies and special agents, she has no choice but to track down and recapture these dangerous criminals… before they kill again.

Comedy series Going Dutch premieres on Fox January 2. The series centers on an arrogant, loudmouth U.S. Army Colonel, who, after an epically unfiltered rant, is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the least important army base in the world. After serving with distinction in every warzone of the last three decades, he now finds himself in charge of a base with no guns, no weapons, and no tactical purpose. Instead, it has a Michelin-star-level commissary, top-notch bowling alley and the best (and only) fromagerie in the U.S. Army. Surrounded by a diverse group of underdogs, the colonel tries to reinstall military discipline and professionalism with the help of the base’s previous interim leader, who just happens to be his estranged daughter.

Max has renewed Creature Commandos for a second season. The series tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option.

Hallmark+ has renewed Finding Mr. Christmas for a second season. The reality competition series is hosted by Jonathan Bennett with Melissa Peterman as lead judge. Ten aspiring actors compete in a variety of festive, entertaining challenges, with a Hallmark twist: the winner is crowned Mr. Christmas and given the opportunity to become Hallmark’s next leading man, with a starring role in a Countdown to Christmas movie.

NBC is set to ring in the new year with a live broadcast of the 136th Rose Parade Presented by Honda on January 1 from 8-10 a.m. PT (11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET). This year marks Roker’s 26th year hosting the telecast. The event also represents NBC’s 98th year broadcasting the Rose Parade, a tradition that began on radio in 1927 and transitioned to television in 1954. It will feature 39 brilliant rose-covered floats, 16 equestrian teams and 24 marching bands from around the world.

High schooler Taiyo Asano, the ‘Ultimate Introvert’, lost his family in a tragic accident. The only one he could speak to is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura who harbors a wild secret as the heir to a spy lineage. Her brother, Kyoichiro, a skilled spy, targets Taiyo. To save themselves, Taiyo agrees to marry Mutsumi and join the Yozakura family, embarking on an unprecedented mission!

The six-part drama series delves into the bikers’ darkly exciting, but dangerous world as a passionate love story unfolds.

Season five of All Creatures Great and Small premieres on PBS January 12. The series will continue to bring the stories of James Herriot to life as we return to Darrowby to join our unconventional much-loved Skeldale Family and the colourful ensemble of farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s.

Lovers Anonymous premieres January 16 on Netflix. Cem, scarred by a childhood that crushed his trust in love, runs the “Love Hospital,” until Hazal, who believes in the power of love, disrupts his life.

Netflix has renewed The Upshaws for a final season, Part 7, consisting of twelve episodes. Part 6 will premiere in early 2025 with the final part to come later. Bennie Upshaw, the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family – wife Regina, their two young daughters and firstborn son, the teenage son he fathered with another woman — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law, all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together. In this upcoming part, the Upshaws continue to ride life’s ups and downs, including new jobs, bigger dreams, health struggles and some major life surprises but still hanging on with the love that comes with family.

And to top it off, Godcat’s next-door neighbor, who is also a cat, turns out to be none other than his nemesis, the Antichrist. The result is the ultimate fight between good versus evil… except, Godcat is distracted by a pigeon he saw in the yard and Devilcat is busy napping on someone’s laptop. The series is based on the card game of the same name.
