ABC has renewed five unscripted series for new seasons. Returning for the 2025-2026 season are America’s Funniest Home Videos (season 36), American Idol (season 24), Celebrity Jeopardy! (season 4), Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (season 6), and Shark Tank (Season 17). 

Fox has ordered medical drama series Best Medicine. The series is based on the British series Doc Martin and will star Josh Charles. The series centers on Martin Best, a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. Unfortunately, Martin’s blunt and borderline rude bedside manner rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, and he quickly alienates the town, even though he’s all they’ve got. Although Martin can expertly address any medical ailment or mystery in this idiosyncratic town, he’s really just desperate to be left the hell alone. Instead, he keeps getting dragged right smack into the middle of their personal chaos, feuds and fantasies. What the locals don’t know is that Martin’s terse demeanor masks a debilitating new phobia and deep-seated psychological issues that prevent him from experiencing true intimacy with anyone. But tenacity is the creed of everyone in their small village, and the people who live there may be exactly what the doctor ordered. 

Peacock has ordered Ted: The Animated Series. The animated series picks up after the Ted films. Seth MacFarlane is set to reprise the voice of the iconic and loveable foul-mouthed teddy bear “Ted.” Original film franchise stars return as series regulars to voice their roles include Mark Wahlberg as “John,” Amanda Seyfried as “Sam,” and Jessica Barth as “Tami-Lynn. Additional series regulars include Kyle Mooney as “Apollo” and Liz Richman as “Ruth.” 

Season two of Peacemaker premieres August 21 on Max. The new season follows Christopher “Chris” Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost. The series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. New cast members include Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. 

Walton Goggins is set to host Saturday Night Live May 10. Arcade Fire will serve as musical guest on the late night NBC series. 

Prime Video has canceled On Call after one season. The series is being shopped to other outlets. The series is an adrenalized and visceral police drama that follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Incorporating a mixture of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community. 

Fox has ordered limited event series The Faithful. The six episode series will be presented over three consecutive weeks during next Easter and Passover season – is based on The Old Testament’s Book of Genesis and told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women whose descendants would shape three of the world’s great faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Dimensional, dramatic, intimate, even shocking, The Faithful is about discovering and losing love, the challenges of marriage, the joys and heartbreak of children, confronting temptation and finding faith. The episodes will be told through the lens of five of The Bible’s most legendary women: Sarah and her former slave Hagar, Sarah’s great-niece Rebekah, and Rebekah’s nieces, sisters Leah and Rachel. 

Peacock has announced a compelling, heartwarming and villainous slate of new unscripted series. New series include Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, Tiffany Haddish Goes Off, Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks, Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets, and season three of House of Villains which moves to the streamer from E!. Previously announced returning series include Love Island USA, Love Island: Beyond The Villa, Love Island Games, Married at First Sight, and The Traitors. 

Season two of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside has begun. The new season will see Charles going undercover at a college. Ted Danson stars in the series. 

Production on season two of hulu’s Rivals has begun. The drama returns with an extended season of twelve episodes, up from eight, and even more wit, desire, and dramatic twists. Set against the backdrop of the stunning Cotswolds countryside and the glamorous, high-stakes world of 1980s British television, the second installment will see the return of the all-star cast that won the hearts of fans and critics alike as well as introducing brand new faces. 

Netflix has ordered its first Nordic medical drama starring Sara Khorami in the lead role. At the emergency ward, it doesn’t matter who you are – rich or poor, influencer, carpenter, or minister. If you’ve broken something, if you’re bleeding, or if you need help, you’ll get it. Despite low staffing, little time, perhaps one too many cups of coffee, and a demanding crowd of patients, a team of exhausted but resilient doctors and nurses are ready to help. Sofia (Sara Khorami), a surgeon with more talent than patience, is sent into this chaotic environment to save her own career – the last place she wants to be. There, she encounters disorder, resistance, and something she never expected: warmth, community… and love. Suddenly, she faces a choice: continue alone on her path to the top, or become part of something greater – a bond she never knew she needed. A family. 

Noir action series Mercy for None premieres June 6 on Netflix. The series follows Ki-jun, a former underworld figure who severed his own Achilles tendon to leave that life behind 11 years ago. When his brother Ki-seok, once the second-in-command of their organization, is found dead, Ki-jun returns to uncover the truth behind his brother’s death. 

Sports comedy docuseries Sports Gone Wrong premieres June 18 on Vice TV. The series narrated by Joey Mulinaro features commentary from four-time NBA Champion and TV host John Salley, comedian and actor Godfrey, podcaster and media personality Jessica Smetana, and comedian Paul Virzi. Each episode blends comedic commentary with archival footage to break down jaw-dropping sports debacles – from controversial rule-breaking athletes and over-eager fans stealing home runs to infamous on-air moments, out-of-control fights, public scandals, unlikely injuries, and more. Salley, Godfrey, Smetana, and Virzi react to questionable NFL team theme songs; test Michael Jordan’s cologne; play “Shaq Fu;” give their take on the infamous 1996 Orioles-Yankees Jeffrey Maier playoff game; pick sides in the 1984 Copa del Rey final brawl; and much more. 

Trapped: What Is Happening to Wendy Williams? premieres May 19 on ID. One of the most influential voices in radio, daytime television, and pop culture, Wendy Williams built a storied career over her decades in the entertainment industry. In 2022, following the end of her eponymous talk show and speculation around her mental and physical health, Williams entered into a guardianship. The guardianship eventually revealed Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, and she was placed in a memory care facility in New York City. Despite the guardianship’s claims about Williams’ current state, her fanbase has activated a #FreeWendy movement calling for Williams to have the opportunity to regain control of her life. The special goes inside this push for Williams’ release, provides info into her rise to fame and influence on pop culture and chronicles the personal and professional struggles leading to her guardianship. 

Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death The Movie will be released in theaters in North America July 16. The film will be released in both English Dub and Japanese with English subtitles. Before they were enemies, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were high school classmates and friends. The two powerful sorcerers are tasked with protecting Riko Amanai, a student who has been designated to be sacrificed as the Star Plasma Vessel, until she can fulfill her duty. Pursued by a religious cult and other curse users, they are the only sorcerers capable of carrying out such a difficult task – but this mission will set their destinies, and challenge the two sorcerers in ways unimaginable. The series streams on Crunchyroll.

The season premiere of Deal or No Deal Island will air Tuesday, January 7 at 8 followed by The Irrational at 10.

The One Chicago lineup of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will make its return Wednesday, January 8.

St. Denis Medical and Night Court return Tuesday, January 14 at 8 and 8:30. Deal or No Deal Island will make its timeslot debut at 9.

Thursday’s lineup of Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU and Found returns Thursday, January 16.

The new season of The Voice will kick off Monday, February 3 at 8. It will be followed by the series premiere of The Hunting Party at 10.

NBC will fill its Sunday lineup with a two hour series premiere of The Americas at 7 starting Sunday, February 23. The series will settle into its regular timeslot at 8 the following week. Also debuting Sunday, February 23 are the series premieres of Suits: LA at 9 and Grosse Pointe Garden Society at 10.

Also held for midseason are new travel competition series Destination X and a new season of The Wall. Additional premiere dates will be announced at a later date.

“The Americas” is executive produced by renowned Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning wildlife producer Mike Gunton (“Life,” “Planet Earth II,” and “Dynasties”) for BBC Studios Natural History Unit, the world’s largest production unit dedicated to wildlife filmmaking, in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group.

“DESTINATION X”

Merging fantasy with reality in this larger-than-life adventure competition series, viewers will follow contestants as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime but have no idea of their location. In order to win, they must figure out their mystery locations. Once they’re on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life game board, with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them guessing.

At the end of each episode, the contestant who places an X on a map furthest from the actual location packs their bags. The first participant to reach Destination X will be crowned the winner. With high stakes and mind-blowing, spectacular gameplay, the series will keep viewers engaged and playing along on all screens.

The fourth and final season of Snowpiercer premieres on AMC and AMC+ July 21. Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the graphic novel series by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, and the film from Bong Joon Ho. The action-packed finale of season three left a split of the train with Melanie Cavill leading the Eternal Engine and those passengers who chose to stay aboard Snowpiercer for relative safety, and Andre Layton leading the others on Big Alice who chose to adventure to the unknown, outside world of New Eden. 

NBC has ordered comedy Happy’s Place to series. In the series Reba inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.

Production on season two of Netflix’s Wednesday has begun. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo have been promoted to series regulars. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor will also join as new series regulars. Guest starring in the new season will be Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo.

My Adventures With Superman returns for season two on adult swim May 25. In the latest season, the three best friends face a host of new threats. Powerful foes will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will take aim at Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an unbelievable amount of money. Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty, and love like never before. 

NBC has canceled Extended Family after one season. After an amicable divorce, Jim and Julia decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets more complicated for Jim when the owner of his favorite sports team enters the picture and wins Julia’s heart. 

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will return to ABC in the 2024-2025 season. Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin will host the new iteration of the renovation series. In each episodes, Shearer and Teplin will meet a deserving family in need of a new home. Leaning into their organizing expertise and unique design aesthetic, the duo will work with each family to evaluate and edit every single item they own, ultimately transforming not only their home but the way they live. Assisting them is a team of builders and contractors from homebuilder Taylor Morrison who will expertly reconfigure the home based on the family’s lifestyle and needs. 

NBC has renewed Deal or No Deal Island for a second season. The elusive Banker will invite a new crop of players to compete in the season-long, fully immersive competition. The new season transports 13 players to the elusive Banker’s private island, where he makes the rules and twists lie behind every palm tree. The iconic briefcases containing a total of more than $200 million in prize money are hidden around the island. In each episode, players compete in daring challenges to secure the briefcases that will be used in that night’s game of Deal or No Deal. The player who snags the highest-value case gains immunity and gets to choose a fellow player to enter “The Temple.” The chosen competitor must then play a high-intensity game of “Deal or No Deal.” If the player makes a bad deal and accepts an offer of a lesser value than what is in their chosen case, they are immediately eliminated. If the player makes a good deal and accepts an offer of a higher value than what is in their case, they gain the power to select whom to eliminate. The winnings from each game of “Deal or No Deal” are added to a group pot that grows exponentially throughout the season. At the end of the season, the last player standing faces the Banker to potentially win the biggest prize in “Deal or No Deal” history. However, the devious Banker is always watching and raising the stakes with tests of strategy and greed. Manganiello serves as the gaming liaison – an intermediary between the Banker and contestants – overseeing gameplay and helping navigate them through tough, life-changing decisions.

Michelle Yeoh will star in Blade Runner 2099. The Prime Video limited series is a followup to Blade Runner 2049. 

Food Network has renewed 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing for a second season. Hosted by Esther Choi and Michael Symon, the series features 24 talented and fearless chefs who take on 24 food challenges in 24 consecutive, non-stop hours. At the end of the 24 hours, the chef who cooked the best for the longest, and outlasted the competition, is the only one left standing. 

The Tony and Ziva NCIS spinoff has been given an official name. NCIS: Tony & Ziva will see Tony and Ziva on the run across Europe. After Ziva’s supposed death, Tony left the NCIS team to go raise their daughter. Years later, Ziva was discovered alive, leading her to complete one final mission with NCIS before she was reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris. Since then Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, Tali, together. When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after. 

Chad has been canceled after two seasons. Originally developed at Fox, the first season aired on TBS and was pulled ahead of its second season. The Roku Channel saved the second season and aired it earlier this year. 

The English dub of Natsume’s Book of Friends season five premieres May 8 on Crunchyroll. Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, which he has long kept secret. However, once he inherits a strange book that belonged to his deceased grandmother, Reiko, he discovers the reason why spirits surround him.

Eamonn Walker is exiting Chicago Fire after twelve seasons on NBC. His character Wallace Boden is expected to appear on a recurring basis in the future. 

Crunchyroll has added more One Piece English dub special episodes. Joining the streamer are 3D2Y, Episode of Sabo: The Three Brothers’ Bond, Adventure of Nebulandia, Heart of Gold, Episode of East Blue and Episode of Skypiea. 

Vice has set premiere dates for two new series. Hells Angels: Kingdom Come premieres May 29. The series chronicles the rise of the men waiting in the wings during legendary biker Sonny Barger’s reign, this series covers the sordid details of how the kingdom came to be and the war that is currently raging across Hells Angels territories. Who Killed WCW? premieres June 4. In the late ’90s, three years after achieving the unthinkable by becoming the biggest wrestling company in the world, WCW would self-destruct. Now, the accusations fly in a wild, probing, and star-studded investigation into the demise of Ted Turner’s WCW.

The Great American Recipe premieres June 17 on PBS. The upbeat cooking competition celebrates the multiculturalism that makes American food so vibrant and delicious. With a wide-ranging variety of cooking styles influenced by their varied backgrounds – from Alaskan to African, Chinese to Sicilian, Southern, German, Mexican and more, Season 3’s contestants represent the unique diversity of American home cooking. Hosted by Alejandra Ramos, the new season features two new judges and a new location. Tim Hollingsworth and Francis Lam join returning host Alejandra Ramos and judge Tiffany Derry in Nashville, Tennessee. Each week, after two challenges, the judges will determine which home cook has the winning dish and, in the final week, the top three will compete for a chance to win this year’s competition.

Hosted by entertainment icon Reba McEntire, Country Music’s Party of the Year returns exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on May 16. 

NBC will celebrate Red Nose Day’s first decade in the U.S. with Red Nose Day: Cheers to Ten Years, a one-hour special airing May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The star-studded special will look back at the hilarious, inspirational and unforgettable moments of NBC’s Red NoseDay programming and the life-changing impact of the campaign’s first 10 years. The funniest skits from past Red Nose Days will be featured, including Coldplay’s Game of Thrones the Musical, basketball with Paul Rudd & Blake Griffin, Kate McKinnon’s SNL Weekend Update sketch and more. The special will also include stories that highlight the impact of donations to Red Nose Day and how they help children across the U.S. and around the world. A rebroadcast of the Red NoseDay episode of The Wall will follow the special at 9 p.m. 

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be joining its broadcast team when NASCAR returns to TNT Sports in 2025. He will also join the Prime Video broadcast booth when the streamer launches its exclusive NASCAR Cup Series coverage in 2025. 

Love Island USA returns for season six on Peacock June 11. Ariana Madix joins as host with Iain Stirling reprising his role as the iconic narrator for the new season. Set in Fiji, season six will feature a brand-new vibrant villa including a spicy Casa Amor and an unforgettable Hideaway. Islanders will face more drama than ever before with jaw-dropping revelations, brand new couples challenges and even a few surprise guests. Along the way, viewers will be able to vote for their favorite couples via the Love Island USA app to determine which Islanders remain in the villa and who goes home heartbroken and empty-handed. 

Hotel Cocaine premieres June 16 on MGM+. The series is the story of Roman Compte, a Cuban exile and general manager of The Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene of late ’70s and early ’80s. The Mutiny Hotel was Casablanca on cocaine. Businessmen, politicians, international narcos, CIA and FBI agents, models, sports stars, and musicians all frequented the hotel and its glitzy nightclub and restaurant. At the center of it all was Compte, who did his best to keep it all going and fulfill his own American dream. Season three of The Outlaws premieres May 31 on Prime Video. he series follows a group of strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a community payback sentence in Bristol. With crime boss The Dean, behind bars awaiting trial, the Outlaws are moving on with their lives – until one of their own returns with a deadly secret, hurling them back into mortal danger. As a murder manhunt closes in on the gang, can they prove their innocence before The Dean’s case collapses, and he comes looking for revenge? 

Buying London premieres May 22 on Netflix. Follow high-end agent Daniel Daggers and team as they navigate London’s luxury property market, where the drama is as jaw-dropping as the price tags. Alone returns for season eleven June 13 on The History Channel. The new season places ten skilled survivalists in the freezing, brutal landscape of Inuvik, Canada, within the Arctic Circle and the northernmost location in series history. Netflix has announced more cast for its upcoming comedy series from Mike Schur, now titled A Classic Spy. Joining Ted Danson are Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Stephanie Beatriz, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephen Mckinley Henderson, Sally Struthers, Eugene Cordero, Margaret Avery, John Getz, Susan Ruttan, Lori Tan Chinn, Clyde Kusatsu, Marc Evan Jackson,and Jama Williamson. Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. 

Season two of Lopez vs Lopez premieres on NBC April 2 with back-to-back episodes at 8 and 8:30 p.m. The series will continue in those timeslots going forward. Season two guest stars include Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Diana Maria Riva, and Marshawn Lynch.  

Where Is Wendy Williams? premieres on Lifetime February 24 and 25. After Wendy Williams was placed under a financial guardianship and her hit talk show was unexpectedly canceled, she was determined to make a career comeback. Code 8 Part II premieres on Netflix February 28. In this sequel to Code 8, Connor is out of prison and working as a janitor at a community center, having cut ties with his former criminal associate Garrett. Connor’s attempt at staying out of trouble is destroyed when he’s forced to help 14-year-old Pav escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King. King uses the newly launched robotic K9’s to track Pav down, while Connor finds himself once again reaching out to Garrett and his crew for help, but can he trust the man who landed him in prison in the first place?

Ayo Edebiri is set to host Saturday Night Live February 3 on NBC. She will be joined by Jennifer Lopez who will be serving as musical guest on the late night series. 

House of Ninjas premieres February 15 on Netflix. Years after retiring from their formidable ninja lives, a dysfunctional family must return to shadowy missions to counteract a string of looming threats.

All twelve episodes of season three of The Daily Life of the Immortal King are now streaming with an English dub on Crunchyroll. Season four will begin streaming its English dub weekly starting February 10. For cultivation prodigy Wang Ling, defeating a demon king at age 6 is nothing compared to fitting in at highschool. And now with supernatural threats on the rise, Wang may have to put his magic studies on hold to save the world!

Catherine O’Hara has been cast in the second season of The Last Of Us as a guest star. No word on who she will be playing in the HBO series. The series recently cast Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, and Young Mazino. 

Season three of Clarkson’s Farm premieres May 3 on Prime Video. Audiences can expect in-depth, authentic, and unexpected trials and tribulations as Jeremy, Lisa, Kaleb, Gerald, and Cheerful Charlie tackle the ever-unpredictable world of British farming. The new season finds Diddly Squat facing some seriously daunting challenges. The crops are failing in the severe hot weather, inflation has driven prices of supplies sky high, dreams for the beloved restaurant are dashed and now the farm shop also faces closure. Jeremy urgently needs to come up with creative new ways of making ends meet, so hatches a plan to turn a profit from hundreds of acres of unfarmed land – thick woodland and hedgerows that make up half of Diddly Squat. This triggers an avalanche of Clarkson-crafted schemes, involving everything from goats and pigs to mushrooms, nettles and deer.

Adam Sandler will receive the People’s Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. Hosted by Simu Liu, the ceremony will air live on February 18 on NBC, Peacock and E! from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

The Grand Tour: Sand Job premieres February 16 on Prime Video. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May reunite in the remote African country of Mauritania, following in the footsteps of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally. Instead of bespoke Dakar racers, the boys must complete their journey in cheap modified sports cars. Their journey begins with the world’s longest train and sees them tackle the killer Sahara and perilous river crossings whilst protecting their precious fuel bowser from exploding. Battling scorching temperatures and unforgiving sand terrain, filming this special was a true test for both the presenters and their cars. The final special of The Grand Tour with the trio is set to launch on Prime Video later this year.

Peanuts special Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin premieres on Apple TV+ February 16. NBC has ordered an additional episode of the new drama series The Irrational. The episode order of the Jesse L. Martin starring series will now stand at 11. The series follows world-renowned professor of behavioral science Alec Mercer as he lends his unique expertise on an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him and the team on a series of intense, unexpected journeys to solve illogical puzzles and perplexing mysteries. Additionally, comedy series Lopez vs Lopez will be cut from thirteen episodes to 10. 

Anime series Lycoris Recoil is coming to Adult Swim’s Toonami block. The series will make its debut on the network January 20. The series previously streamed on Crunchyroll. These are peaceful days, thanks to a secret crime-fighting organization of all-girl agents: Lycoris. The elite free-spirited Chisato is their all-time strongest agent, alongside the coolheaded talented-but-mysterious Takina. Working together at a café, they serve coffee and sweets as well as childcare, shopping, and teaching Japanese. The chaotic everyday lives of this mismatched duo begin.

The 81st Golden Globe Awards will air live on CBS January 7. The ceremony will air directly following an NFL on CBS Sunday doubleheader. The three-hour show will be broadcast live from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET and 5:00-8:00 PM, PT.

Every episode follows a different falsely accused exoneree who spent between 15 – 22 years in a maximum-security penitentiary and were subsequently proven innocent. The exonerees are currently at various stages of suing the state or federal government for financial compensation for their time unjustly spent behind bars. At the center of each story, alongside the wrongfully accused, we will hear from their families, including the wives and girlfriends whose love sustained their partner through the darkest hours, the reintegration into society, and their present battle for some form of justice.
