CBS has announced its schedule for the 2025-2026 TV season. The lineup consists of many new and returning fan favorite series. Most returning series remain in their usual timeslots with the NCIS universe and FBI universe switching nights.

Kicking off Mondays will be the final season of The Neighborhood at 8 followed by the new comedy series DMV at 8:30. FBI moves to its new night at 9, followed by the new spinoff CIA.

Tuesdays will feature a complete NCIS lineup with NCIS at 8, followed by NCIS: Origins at 9. NCIS: Sydney joins the other series at 10.

In the fall, Wednesdays will see Survivor at 8 followed by the Amazing Race at 9:30. In January, The night will kick off with Hollywood Squares at 8 followed by The Price Is Right at Night at 9. The new series Harlan Coben’s Final Twist will follow at 10. In the Spring, Survivor will return at 8, followed by the new series America’s Culinary Cup at 9:30. A half hour episode of Hollywood Squares will follow at 10:30.

Thursday’s lineup will remain the same with Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage at 8 followed by Ghosts at 8:30. Matlock will return at 9, followed by Elsbeth at 10.

Two new series join the Friday lineup. Sheriff Country kicks off the night at 8 followed by parent series Fire Country which will return at 9. Blue Bloods spinoff series Boston Blue will air at 10.

Saturdays will feature encore episodes at 8 and 9, followed by 48 Hours at 10.

In the fall, the Sunday lineup will consist of 60 Minutes at 7, followed by Tracker at 8. New music competition series The Road will air at 9. Encores will follow to allow a buffer when NFL games overrun. In the spring, 60 Minutes and Tracker will remain at 7 and 8 respectfully, with new Yellowstone spinoff series Y: Marshals at 9. Watson will follow at 10.

Event programming including The 77th Emmy Awards, The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, The 78th Annual Tony Awards, New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, The 2025 American Music Awards, The MTV Video Music Awards, The 68th Annual Grammy Awards, and The 49th Annual Kennedy Center Honors.

CBS Sports’ portfolio of marquee properties and championships features the NFL on Sundays along with a full playoff slate capped off by the AFC Championship; Big Ten football on Saturdays at 3:30 PM, ET; college basketball, led by the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament; golf, including the PGA Tour, the Masters and the PGA Championship; as well as soccer with the UEFA Champions League Final and the NWSL Championship game, which will once again air in primetime.

Additionally, the network has Einstein set for the 2026-2027 series. It was initially ordered for the upcoming season, but was pushed to the following season. The network is also developing drama series Cupertino from Robert and Michelle King and has ordered a writers room for 12 episode scripts.

Netflix has renewed North of North for a second season. The series is Netflix’s first series commissioned from Canada and is a co-production with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), in partnership with APTN. A young Inuk woman wants to build a new future for herself after a spontaneous – and extremely public – exit from her marriage. But it won’t be easy in a small Arctic town where everybody knows your business. 

Countdown premieres June 25 on Prime Video with the first three episodes. When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions. 

Season six of Ugliest House in America premieres June 2 on HGTV. Retta will discover the most extreme variety of ugly houses yet, traveling the country to tour 15 more weird, dysfunctional and downright disastrous homes nominated by their owners. She’ll share her hilarious hot takes of the stunningly bad designs, cringe-worthy layouts and sorely outdated styles. Based on its ugly appearance, poor functionality and most surprising feature, one house will be crowned the “ugliest house in America” by HGTV, and the network will award its owners a showstopping $150,000 renovation completed by designer Alison Victoria, one of its top stars, during a special one-hour finale episode.

Comedy series Overcompensating premieres May 15 on Prime Video. Newly announced guest stars includ guest stars Lukas Gage, Megan Fox, Bowen Yang, Matt Rogers, James Van Der Beek, Didi Conn, Rachel Matthews, Danielle Perez, Boman Martinez Reid and Yasmine Sahid. The series is a college-set ensemble comedy about the wild, chaotic journey of Benny, a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen, a high school outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs. With guidance from Benny’s older sister and her campus-legend boyfriend, Benny and Carmen juggle horrible hookups, flavored vodka, and fake IDs. Deeply funny and personal, the show explores the lengths to which we all overcompensate while on the path to finding out who we really are. 

Dexter: Resurrection premieres July 11 on Paramount+ with Showtime with the first two episodes. It will make its on air debut July 13. Remaining episodes will premiere weekly. Continuing from Dexter: New Blood, the series takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right. But closure won’t come easy. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined – and that the only way out is together. 

Season two of Nine Perfect Strangers premieres May 21 on hulu. Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman) to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself. 

Aoashi will return for a second season in 2026. The first season of the anime series streamed on Crunchyroll. After a loss in his last junior high school soccer tourney, Ehime Prefecture’s ace player, Ashito Aoi, is devastated but in every loss there’s a victory. Tatsuya Fukuda, manager of an organization that trains students for one of the leading clubs in the J-League, sees Ashito’s raw talent and offers a tryout to his group. Together they’ll bring the youth club and Aoshi’s talents to new heights!

Einstein, which was recently ordered at CBS originally for the 2025-2026 season, will now premiere during the 2026-2027 season. Brilliant but directionless, the great grandson of Albert Einstein spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve her most puzzling cases.

Match Game will return on ABC with Martin Short as host. Alec Baldwin hosted the most recent reboot which wrapped four years ago. The series is expected to premiere this summer. 

Docuseries Call Her Alex premieres June 10 on hulu. Alex Cooper is at the top of her game, signing one of the biggest deals in podcast history. This revealing two-part series gives audiences a behind-the-scenes, intimate look at her journey and the defining moments that shaped her influential voice. What does it take to become the most influential female podcaster of a generation? Following Alex Cooper as she prepares for her first tour, this compelling two-part documentary series traces Cooper’s evolution – from a self-conscious kid growing up in Pennsylvania to the voice behind “Call Her Daddy,” a podcast that redefined the conversation for women everywhere. A new premiere date for A&E’s Duck Dynasty: The Revival has been announced. The ten one-hour episode first season will now premiere on June 1, instead of the previously announced date of May 28. The series reunites audiences with the Robertson family as they balance life, family, and the future of their Louisiana-based business. The series will feature Willie and Korie Robertson alongside beloved family members Miss Kay, Uncle Si, and the next generation of Robertsons.

Sam Elliott will join the second season of Paramount+’s Landman as a series regular. The series is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the podcast “Boomtown”, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics. 

A collection of Alfred Hitchcock films are coming to Netflix. Starting June 1, the collection features some of Hitchcock’s most iconic works including Vertigo, Rear Window, Frenzy, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Family Plot, The Birds and more. The collection will also include films inspired by his lasting influence, such as Us and Barbarian, as well as a narrative feature about the filmmaker himself, Hitchcock, directed by Sacha Gervasi. And for those who can’t wait Psycho, is available now on Netflix in the US! 

Comedians Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, co-hosts of the popular “Las Culturistas” podcast, will host the fourth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards, airing August 5 at 9 -11 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Televised for the first time, The Las Culturistas Culture Awards celebrates culture’s most iconic and consequential moments of the year. With more than 100 unique award categories, live musical performances and unexpected celebrity guests, this show brings culture’s most crucial moments to life. The show will be taped on July 17 in Los Angeles. A full list of categories will be announced at a later date. 

Netflix has ordered a mystery horror fantasy series titled Perfect Job. The series follows Hyuk-jun, a young man who takes on a seemingly perfect part-time job offering 50 times the usual hourly wage through a mysterious employment agency called Spyder Human Resource Center. However, the job quickly becomes a nightmare as he encounters strange and terrifying phenomena. 

The CW Network has renewed its agreement with the Pac-12 conference to broadcast nine college football games in 2025. The CW will provide full national coverage to showcase the strength of the Oregon State and Washington State football programs and their student-athletes. The season will kick off on Saturday, August 30 with Idaho at Washington State at 10:00pm ET / 7:00pm PT. 

Conan O’Brien: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor premieres May 4 on Netflix. On Sunday, March 23, the 26th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor celebrated Conan O’Brien at the Kennedy Center. Lineup of leading performers included Nikki Glaser, Will Ferrell, David Letterman, Kumail Nanjiani, Tracy Morgan, Adam Sandler, Andy Richter, Reggie Watts, Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Sarah Silverman, Stephen Colbert, Sean Evans, Robert Smigel and others. With music direction by Max Weinberg, the program paid tribute to the humor and accomplishments of O’Brien and featured a host of his admirers, friends, and collaborators.

True crime series Murder Has Two Faces hosted by Robin Roberts premieres May 6 on hulu. The series shines a social justice light on harrowing, lesser-known cases that were eclipsed in the media by more notorious murders. Not only does the series share new details on these overlooked crimes, but it also asks a question: Why didn’t they get the same level of attention as their notorious, eerily similar counterparts? Olympo premieres June 20 on Netflix. Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will premiere on Fortnite May 2, two days ahead of its premiere on Disney+. This marks the first debut of a Disney+ series in a game. CBS has ordered an FBI spinoff series titled CIA. Tom Ellis is set to star in the series which sees Ellis’ CIA officer team up with an FBI agent. They will work together on cases to stop threats. The network has aslo picked up two pilots to series. DMV is a workplace comedy which takes place in a DMV. Einstein is a drama which follows the great grandson of Albert Einstein who helps the police solve cases. 

ABC has renewed Dancing with the Stars for Season 34. Robert Irwin is the first confirmed cast member to compete in the competition. Additional celebrities will be announced at a later point. 

CBS has canceled Poppa’s House and The Summit after one season. The network is also not moving forward with its The Equalizer spinoff, its pilot Zarna, and its The Neighborhood spinoff. 

Season eight of Rick and Morty premieres May 25 on adult swim. Life has meaning again! Anything is possible! Look out for adventures with Summer, Jerry, Beth, and the other Beth. Maybe Butter Bot will get a new task? Whatever happens, you can’t keep Rick and Morty down for long. People have tried! 

Alien: Earth premieres this summer on FX. When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.

Season twelve of Below Deck premieres June 2 on Bravo. Capt. Kerry Titheradge returns to Motoryacht St. David alongside Chief Stew Fraser Olender and deckhand Kyle Stillie. New crew members include Chef Lawrence Snowden, Bosun Caio Poltronieri, deckhands Jess Theron and Damo Yorg and stews Barbara Kulaif, Rainbeau de Roos and Solène Favreau. 

ABC has renewed The Golden Bachelor for a second season. Mel Owens, the 66-year-old former NFL veteran-turned-lawyer, is gearing up to make his next big play as the second Golden Bachelor. Born and raised in a close-knit Midwestern family in Detroit, Owens’ athleticism shone through from an early age. After graduating from the University of Michigan, he was selected as the ninth overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft by the LA Rams. Following his retirement from football, Owens transitioned into a career in law and moved to Orange County, California, dedicating himself to helping others – particularly those seeking justice for sports-related injuries. It was during this time that he met his first love, and together they had two sons. Christopher Gorham and Michele Weaver have joined the cast of CBS’s upcoming Fire Country spinoff Sheriff Country. They join Morena Baccarin as series regulars. 

The Rookie recurring cast member Deric Augustine has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming eighth season. Augustine plays a rookie who transferred from Texas. 

The CW has renewed Totally Funny Animals for a second season. The new season will consist of 100 episodes. The first season consisted of 30 episodes. 

Apple TV+ has ordered a seven episode comedy titled Prodigies. Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri will star in the series. This unusual take on a classic romantic comedy explores the universal complexities of long-term relationships through the lens of a very unique couple. Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe) are two ex-child prodigies who have been together since they were children. Now in their early 30s, they are starting to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood. Inevitably, they find themselves asking the same questions of their relationship. As individual hopes and needs feed into and conflict with their shared lives, the series challenges the fallacy at the heart of romantic storytelling – that the tale is over when the heroes get together. In life, surely, that is just the beginning? 

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will return for a new season on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel will return as host of the game show. 

We Were Liars premieres June 18 on Prime Video. The mystery thriller is based on the novel by E. Lockhart. The series follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather’s New England private island. The Sinclairs are American royalty – known for their good looks, old money, and enviable bond – but after a mysterious accident changes Cadence’s life forever, everyone, including her beloved Liars, seems to have something to hide. 

Fox has ordered “social survival of the fittest” competition series, The Snake, and has tapped comedian Jim Jefferies to host the show. For this unmatched battle of plotting, scheming and strategy, The Snake assembles 15 masters of manipulation from various persuasive professions with unique skill sets to compete in an outrageous array of challenges and twists – all of which help contestants move toward becoming that week’s Snake, the most powerful position in the game and ultimate decider of who stays and who goes. It is set to premiere this summer. 

Documentary adventure series The Wild Ones premieres July 11 on Apple TV+. Fronted by former Royal Marines Commando and expedition lead Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley, and ecological storyteller and wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet, “The Wild Ones” blends rugged field adventure with groundbreaking science and conservation. The team traverses six countries – Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada and Gabon – deploying next-generation camera technology to capture rare and often first-ever footage of elusive species, including the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale and Western lowland gorilla. 

Can You Keep a Secret? is coming soon to Paramount+. Dawn French plays domineering granny Debbie Fendon, a woman who will stop at nothing to protect her family – it’s just the person they most need protecting from is her. And when her hermit-like husband, William (Mark Heap), unexpectedly dies, she makes an outlandish decision that will put the family under more pressure than ever before. Because William isn’t actually dead – he just got mistakenly declared it and has been living in the loft while they wait for the life insurance to pay out. This comes as a bit of a shock to their easily frazzled son, Harold (Craig Roberts), whose wife, Neha (Mandip Gill), works for the local police. And just as they come to terms with the baffling behavior of these geriatric toddlers, Debbie reveals another secret she’s been keeping up her sleeve. And this one could bring the whole family down. 

The 32nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place on March 1, 2026. The actors’ awards ceremony will stream live on Netflix at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). Nominations will be announced on January 7, 2026. 

Max announced new U.S. product updates with the introduction of the Extra Member Add-On feature, designed to give existing subscribers greater flexibility and control over how they manage sharing their Max accounts. This new feature also includes the capability to transfer an adult profile to the extra member account. Users will be able to stream their favorite shows, movies, and more through a seamless transition and experience. 

Outrageous premieres June 18 on BritBox. Based on the true story of the Mitford sisters who played by their own rules – with sometimes devastating consequences. The Devil’s Plan: Death Room returns May 6 on Netflix. The Korean mental strategy competition series will feature even more sophisticated strategies and deadlier alliances. Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires premieres July 10 on Disney Channel. The new installment follows zombie-cheerleader power couple Zed and Addison while introducing Freya Skye and Malachi Barton as the latest supernatural arrivals: Nova, a fierce Daywalker, and Victor, a proud Vampire. In the first three movies, Zed and Addison brought human and monsterkind together in their hometown of Seabrook. The sixth and final season of What We Do in the Shadows premieres October 21 on FX. The series based on the feature film by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, documents the nightly exploits of vampire roommates Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja and Colin Robinson as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo, and their vampire bureaucrat acquaintance, The Guide. 

The hulu exclusive Halloween special in celebration of the Family Guy 25th anniversary titled “Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Cheater” will premiere October 14. Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary. Special guest stars include Glen Powell as “Patrick McCloskey,” the reigning champion in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest; and Derek Jacobi as “Rupert,” Stewie’s beloved teddy bear. 

Ali Wong: Single Lady premieres October 8 on Netflix. Ali Wong opens up about post-divorce life and the quest for love in her new original comedy special. The special was filmed at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, CA as part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2024. 

Finding Mr. Christmas premieres October 31 on Hallmark+. Ten aspiring actors compete in a variety of entertaining challenges, with a Hallmark twist, to be crowned Hallmark’s next leading man and take home the title of “Mr. Christmas” in Hallmark’s first reality competition series. Hosted by Jonathan Bennett and starring lead judge Melissa Peterman, special guest judges will join this duo throughout the series and put these “hunky” men to the test to determine who has the most talent, heart, authenticity and charisma to be the next Hallmark superstar. At the finale, the winner will receive a special leading role in one of this year’s Countdown to Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel. 

The previously announced Abbott Elementary crossover has been revealed. The ABC series will be crossing over with FX’s long running comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The two are tonally very different so it will be interesting to see how they weave the two series together! Season four of Abbott Elementary premieres October 9. No date has been set for the crossover episode currently.  

Fox is making a small change to its Tuesday lineup. Murder in a Small Town which was set to air at 9, will continue to air at 8. Season two of Accused will now follow at 9. 

Matthew Gray Gubler is set to star in the upcoming CBS pilot Einstein. He will play the great grandson of Albert Einstein who helps police solve cases. 

Hulu has picked up twenty new episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The series follows a group of Mormon mom influencers. It will return in 2025.  

Disney Channel has canceled The Villains of Valley View  after two seasons. The series was the last live action series on the network ahead of the premiere of the upcoming Wizard of Waverly Place followup series Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. 

Docuseries Black Comedy in America premieres October 15 on Vice TV. The series explores the comedic pioneers of film, television, and the standup scene, along with the humble beginnings and meteoric rises of the most powerful voices to ever enter Black comedy. The premiere begins with a rare sit-down reunion with The Original Kings of Comedy: Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer and D.L. Hughley. The series also delves into the cultural impact of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Best Man, Def Comedy Jam, the wave of memorable Black sitcoms from the 70s, and influential household names such as Richard Pryor and Dave Chappelle. In addition, the show features a raw exploration of Jim Crow segregation with a nostalgic look at the foundations of the Chitlin’ Circuit, where Black comedy got its roots. 

Additional performers and special guests have been announced for American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special, airing October 6, on CBS. Nelly, Nile Rodgers & CHIC and Sheila E. join the star-studded lineup of performers Including previously announced artists Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey and more. AJ McLean, Cedric The Entertainer, Kate Hudson, Lance Bass, Reba McEntire, Samuel L. Jackson and Smokey Robinson will make special appearances. 

Nickelodeon is letting kids’ voices be heard this election season with the return of its Kids Pick the President “Kids’ Vote” poll and a brand-new special debuting October 28. Beginning today, kids can cast their vote for who they want to be the next president at kidspickthepresident.com. The results of the poll will be revealed during the half-hour special, hosted by Nate Burleson and his 14-year-old daughter, Mia Burleson. The Kids Pick the President “Kids’ Vote” is an informal non-scientific poll, meant for entertainment purposes only. 

All thirteen episodes of The Pasta Queen premieres October 24 on Prime Video. The series features Nadia Caterina Munno, descendant of an Italian pasta dynasty, who has racked up millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram. Each episode, audiences will travel through Italy with Nadia, then spend time in her chef’s kitchen as she shares essential ingredients from the Italian regions she visited, and makes authentic Italian dishes with love.

French limited series The Confidante premieres October 11 on Max. Inspired by true events, this psychological thriller follows Christelle “Chris” Blandin, a rock music-obsessed Parisian, who, after witnessing the harrowing November 13, 2015 terrorist attacks, quickly latches onto a community of survivors. Claiming that her best friend Vincent was one of dozens critically injured at the Bataclan Theatre, Chris becomes an indispensable resource for the group, working her way into a prominent role in a survivors’ association. Though her commitment seems relentless, discrepancies begin to pepper her story – raising serious doubts among the true victims of the tragedy. Mystery crime drama Whitstable Pearl returns October 21 on Acorn TV. In season three, sleuthing restaurant owner Pearl continues to build her private detective business and finds herself involved in more diverse investigations, including reopening an infamous local cold case and the death of a famous food critic. She’s aided and abetted by her outspoken, feisty mom Dolly and still going strong with boyfriend Tom. But it’s navigating her complex relationship with DCI Mike McGuire that still proves Pearl’s most challenging case, as Mike and his partner, DS Nikki Martel, support Pearl with each of her investigations. 

Fleeting Lies premieres October 10 on hulu. On the day of her promotion, Lucia is accused of industrial espionage and fired. Instead of telling her family the news, she continues her regular work routine – while secretly starting an illegal cosmetic surgery business, leading to a web of lies and secrets. 

Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives premieres October 18 on Netflix. The Fabulous Bollywood wives are back in action and they are meaner, dramatic and sassier than ever. 

All seven episodes of Taking One for the Team premiere October 16 on ESPN+. Iman Shumpert delves into the sacrifices athletes make for their teams, turning seemingly mortifying moments into hilarious stories. Through personal narratives, comedic animations, and heartfelt testimonials, each episode explores the emotional depth of team dedication. First-season guests include Mekai Curtis, Ahmad Bradshaw, John Franklin-Myers, and others. 

The first episode of DAN DA DAN is available to stream on Crunchyroll now. When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue—Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. English Teacher premieres on FX September 2. Onyx Collective’s How to Die Alone premieres on hulu September 13 with the first four episodes. The series follows Mel, a broke, fat, Black JFK airport employee who’s never been in love and forgotten how to dream, until an accidental brush with death catapults her on a journey to finally take flight and start living by any means necessary. 

The fourth and final season of My Brilliant Friend premieres on HBO September 9. Based on the bestselling novels by Elena Ferrante, the series follows Elena Greco and the most important friend in her life, Raffaella “Lila” Cerullo. After meeting as children in 1950s Naples, their story goes on to cover over 60 years, exploring the mystery of Lila – Elena’s brilliant best friend and, in a way, her worst enemy. The fourth installment of the saga, titled “Story of the Lost Child,” delves into the adult lives of Elena and Lila. They find themselves entangled in the turmoil of Italy in the late 1980s, nearing the end of decades of political violence and social unrest. Amid motherhood and career demands, amid betrayals, threats, disappearances, and natural disasters, Elena and Lila once again reside in the same neighborhood. 

Rising Impact season two is now streaming on Netflix. The golf manga serialized manga by Nakaba Suzuki, began its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998 and gained enthusiastic support from fans. And now, 25 years later, it has finally been adapted into an anime! Over the course of two seasons, this series follows the growth of third-grader Gawain Nanaumi as he encounters the sport of golf and competes with his rivals. 

The CW will launch WWE NXT with live arena shows in Chicago and St. Louis on October 1 and October 8. Additionally, the live arena shows will feature special appearances by WWE Superstar CM Punk in Chicago and WWE Superstar Randy Orton in St. Louis. In November 2023, The CW Network and WWE announced a five-year agreement to bring NXT wrestling to broadcast television for the first time ever. As the exclusive home of NXT, The CW will air 52 live weekly events throughout the season. 

CBS has ordered a drama pilot titled Einstein. Brilliant but directionless, the great grandson of Albert Einstein spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve her most puzzling cases. The pilot would be in contention for the 2025-26 broadcast season.

Culinary special Unbelievably Vegan with Chef Charity premieres August 22 on Max. Celebrity chef Charity Morgan is on a mission to integrate vegan options onto the menu at Nashville’s beloved Germantown Pub, a local sports bar run by a stubborn chef who’s set in his meat-eating ways. Chef Charity’s “Three R” system of “Replace, Replicate, Reveal” is put to the test as she pulls out all the stops to convince these carnivores to let a little vegan into their lives and onto their menu. 

Phil Wang’s second Netflix stand-up special will be released on September 3. Taped at London’s only candlelit theatre, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe, Wang In There, Baby! is a show about being British, being Asian, octopuses, America, and the trappings of minor fame. 

Docuseries The Wonderland Massacre & The Secret History of Hollywood premieres September 8 on MGM+. Best-selling crime novelist, Michael Connelly, takes us on a wild journey into the twisted story of the massacre at Wonderland Avenue on July 1, 1981 – one of Hollywood’s most famous murder cases that has fascinated people for more than 40 years. Netflix has ordered Dutch series Football Parents (Voetbalouders). The series offers viewers a hilarious look at how a group of overenthusiastic parents tend to interfere with the football performances of their young children on the field. It will premiere in 2025.

The American Music Awards (AMAs) are set to commemorate half a century of iconic moments, unforgettable performances and rich pop culture history with a two-hour broadcast, American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special on CBS October 6. The program will feature themed highlights from AMAs’ expansive show archives, each culminating with an original performance or artist interview. Segments will look back on the evolution of specific artists and genres at the AMAs, as well as award and performance milestones.Performers will be announced in the coming weeks. The awards show will return in May 2025.

MTV today revealed the highly-anticipated list of nominees for the 2024 VMAs, celebrating artists whose cultural impact and work during the last 12 months have revolutionized the music industry and sparked global conversations. Taylor Swift (10) leads, looking to continue her record-breaking streak for “Video of the Year” and shatter her own record to become the only artist to ever three-peat and win 5x in the coveted category. Swift is closely followed by her “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone (9), Ariana Grande, Eminem and Sabrina Carpenter (6 each); Megan Thee Stallion and SZA (5 each), LISA, Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims (4 each). Fans can vote for their favorites across 15 gender-neutral categories, including the highly-coveted “Video of the Year,” presented by Burger King; “Best Collaboration;” and “Artist of the Year” categories, by visiting vote.mtv.com through Friday, August 30th, thanks to The General Insurance(R); voting for “Best New Artist” will remain active into show on Tuesday, September 10th. Nominations for social categories will be announced at a later date. 

TNT Sports and Charles Barkley today reaffirmed his long-term commitment that will see the broadcasting icon and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer exclusively contribute to TNT Sports for many years to come. Barkley, who signed a 10-year agreement with TNT Sports in 2022, will be entering his 25th year with the company. Barkley previously stated he would be retiring.

MAUI RISING: The Fight for Hawai’i’s Future, commemorating the one-year anniversary of the historic Lahaina wildfires will air August 9 on ABC. Narrated by actor and Hawai’i resident Jason Scott Lee, the program highlights the strength, determination and resilience of the people of Lahaina and follows Native Hawaiian community leaders who see the tragedy as an opportunity to re-envision a new town based on ecological restoration, cultural repair, and ultimately a chance to build a stronger, more equitable and more sustainable future for all of Hawai’i.
