Nickelodeon has ordered animated series Avatar: Seven Havens set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The 26-episode, 2D-animated series centers around a young Earthbender who discovers she’s the new Avatar. Set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, a young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse. The news comes as Nickelodeon celebrates the milestone 20th anniversary of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Previously announced, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ highly anticipated Untitled Animated Aang Avatar film debuts only in theatres on January 30, 2026, featuring a voice cast that includes Dave Bautista, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, Román Zaragoza and introducing Eric Nam.

Hulu has renewed Paradise for a second season. The political thriller is from creator Dan Fogelman, and stars Sterling K. Brown as Agent Xavier Collins. Season four of The Righteous Gemstones premieres on HBO March 9. They’re raising holy hell one last time.

Long Bright River premieres March 13 on Peacock. The limited series is based on the novel by Liz Moore. Season three of The Wheel of Time premieres March 13 on Prime Video. After defeating Ishamael, one of the most powerful of the Forsaken, at the end of Season Two, Rand reunites with his friends in the city of Falme and is declared the Dragon Reborn. But in Season Three, the threats against the Light are multiplying: the White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah run free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon… including Lanfear, whose relationship with Rand will mark a crucial choice between Light and Dark for them both. As the ties to his past begin to unravel, and his corrupted power grows stronger, Rand becomes increasingly unrecognizable to his closest allies, Moiraine and Egwene. These powerful women, who started the series as teacher and student, must now work together to prevent the Dragon from turning to the Dark… no matter the cost.

Like Tears In Rain will premiere on Viaplay March 13. The popular, well-revered and charismatic Dutch actor Rutger Hauer kept the outside world at arm’s length all his life. Through private, never-before-seen footage and candid interviews with family, friends and colleagues, his goddaughter Sanna Fabery de Jonge uncovers his intimate world in the revealing, acclaimed documentary. The title of the film is taken from one of the most famous scenes in sci-fi history: Hauer’s legendary monologue at the end of Blade Runner. Part 1 of Ronja the Robber’s Daughter will premiere on Netflix March 28. Part 2 will air later in 2024. Welcome back the beloved Swedish fantasy-tale of Ronja the Robber’s Daughter – following Ronja as she grows up and discovers the magical, yet dangerous forest with its mysterious creatures. When Ronja meets the young boy Birk from a rival gang, it marks the beginning of a dark family feud and a forbidden friendship emerges, all while a notorious bailiff arrives to rid the forest of robbers once and for all.

Mammals, presented by Sir David Attenborough, will premiere this summer on BBC America and AMC+. Overlaying the trailer is a version of Coldplay’s hit song “Paradise,” interwoven with the Mammals score by the composer Thomas Farnon and performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The breathtaking visuals in this first-look showcase some of the remarkable creatures we share our planet with, from the weird and wonderfully intriguing star-nosed mole to the majestic hunting tigress. The stunning footage transports the viewer across every major environment as explored in the series from frozen wildernesses, dense jungles, baking deserts, even the dark depths of the open ocean and the skies above our forests.
