Season three of And Just Like That… premieres May 29 on Max. The series follows Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, Seema, and LTW navigating the complicated reality of life, love, sex, and friendship in their 50s in New York City. The season three cast includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Cathy Ang, Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake, Mario Cantone, Niall Cunningham, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Logan Marshall-Green, Sebastiano Pigazzi, Alexa Swinton, Dolly Wells, and John Corbett.

The Four Seasons premieres on Netflix May 1. Six old friends head for a relaxing weekend away only to learn that one couple in the group is about to split up. The three couples, Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte), Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), and Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani), are completely upended by the news. Over the course of a year, we follow the friends on four vacations, and watch how this shake-up affects everyone’s dynamic – sending old issues and new bubbling to the surface. Based on the 1981 feature film of the same name, it is a hilarious and heartfelt love letter to long marriages and old friendships.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North premieres April 18 on Prime Video. The series is a savagely beautiful five-part series charting the life of Dorrigo Evans (played by Jacob Elordi as a young man, with Ciarán Hinds as the older Dorrigo), through his passionate love affair with Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young), his time held captive in a POW camp, and his later years spent as a revered surgeon and reluctant war hero.

BET+ has ordered a Martin spinoff series Varnell Hill. The eight episode series will star Tommy Davidson, who played Varnell Hill in the original Fox series as a guest star. It is expected to feature new characters and some guest cameos.

Smoke premieres June 27 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through August 8. Inspired by true events, the series follows a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator as they pursue the trails of two serial arsonists. It stars Taron Egerton as arson investigator Dave Gudsen and Jurnee Smollett as police detective Michelle Calderone. It also features Rafe Spall, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Hannah Emily Anderson, Anna Chlumsky, Adina Porter, Greg Kinnear, and John Leguizamo.

Jessica Capshaw will star in ABC’s upcoming 9-1-1 spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville. She joins Chris O’Donnell as series regulars.

Laura Linney has joined the cast of MGM+’s upcoming comedy series American Classic. The series centers on Broadway star and notorious narcissist Richard Bean, who suffers a spectacular public meltdown and returns to his hometown and the family-run theater where he first became aware of his own brilliance. When he arrives, he is shocked to discover that his father, the former artistic director, has lost a step and that the once-respected theater, now run by his brother Jon and his wife has become, by necessity, a low-rent dinner theater serving roast beef and murder mysteries. He decides to save the town, the theater, and the world by presenting a great American classic on the dinner theater stage, directed by and starring, of course, Richard Bean.

James Marsden has joined the cast of Your Friends & Neighbors. Marsden will appear as a series regular in the upcoming second season of the Apple TV+ series.

Atsuko Okatsuka: Father premieres June 13 on hulu. Fans call her ‘Mother,’ but Atsuko is ‘Father’ – thriving professionally yet clueless about basics. A 7-year laundry hiatus and learning that marriage licenses precede weddings are just some hilariously relatable discoveries she shares in her special.

Solo Leveling Season 1 is releasing for the first time in North America on Blu-ray from Crunchyroll on July 22. Special features on both the Limited Edition and Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD box sets for Solo Leveling Season 1 include “The Leveling of Solo Leveling” documentary, textless opening and ending videos, a collection of character videos, and more. The Limited Edition also comes with multiple exclusives, including four art cards, a sticker sheet, and a 68-page art book featuring a never-before-seen interview with action director Yoshihiro Kanno, previously released interviews with the Japanese cast and staff, and hand-selected stills. Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Season 1 and Re:Monster will also be arriving on Blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. in both Limited Edition and Standard Edition Blu-ray box sets from Crunchyroll on July 22. Both Limited Edition releases will come with three special art cards. Titles also releasing in North America on Blu-ray in July from Crunchyroll include That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Part 1 and The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human.

Season seven of The Real Housewives of Miami premieres soon on Bravo. Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth all return.

The English dub of The Beginning After the End premieres April 16 on Crunchyroll. After a mysterious death, King Grey is reborn as Arthur Leywin on the magical continent of Dicathen. Although he enters his second life as a baby, his previous wisdom remains. He begins to master magic and forge his own path as the years go by, seeking to correct the mistakes of his past life.

Snakes and Ladders premieres May 14 on Netflix. Dora, the seemingly insignificant prefect of a prestigious school finds herself caught up in a quarrel between two 8-year-old students. What would appear to be an irrelevant incident threatens to jeopardise her lifelong dream of becoming school principal. Her seemingly unbreakable code of ethics will be put to the test as the conflict between these two powerful families drags her into temptations she has never faced before. Chocolate, drugs, tarot, and karaoke add spice to this black comedy, where even the smallest decision can change everything.

Mama June: Family Crisis returns May 30 on WE tv. This season, June fights for custody of Kaitlyn after Anna’s tragic passing. June also searches for a new, bigger house with Justin and works toward keeping a healthy lifestyle with new tricks up her sleeve. Away at college, Alana continues to wait for repayment from June and worries her boyfriend, Dralin, may face jail time. Pumpkin’s business booms with a new warehouse, a vendor event and a new employee – causing a rift with Jessica. Meanwhile, Pumpkin and Josh’s marriage is in trouble, leading her to make a shocking decision.

Kevin Costner’s The West premieres May 26 on The History Channel with back to back episodes. A special presentation of episode three will air May 27 before returning to its regularly scheduled airdate and time of Mondays at 9. Hosted by Kevin Costner, the eight-episode documentary series will provide a fresh look at the sweeping and complex history of the American West through a wide range of conflicts – all driven by the desperate struggle to control the land itself. Transcending the clichés of the ‘Wild West,’ each one hour episode will capture multiple perspectives on the stories that not only defined an era but continue to shape our country today.

#1 Happy Family USA premieres April 17 on Prime Video. The series follows the maniacally upbeat Husseins – the most patriotic, most peaceful, and most definitely-not-suspicious Muslim family in post-9/11 “Amreeka.” With satire and absurdity, it redefines finding humor in hardship as they navigate the early 2000s under the watchful eyes of their terrified neighbors.

As we head into the new Spring 2025 anime season, let’s take a look back at some of the Winter 2025 anime series I enjoyed the most. The season was filled with all different genres focused on various types of characters. It featured many new and returning favorites and with a bunch of surprises along the way.

First off, I was interested in watching these three series, but didn’t have the time yet to check them out.

I Have a Crush at Work

I don’t think any streamers picked up this office romance series, which is pretty surprising. I thought the genre was relatively popular. I haven’t really watched an office romance anime since The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague and was hoping to watch this one, but it wasn’t meant to be!

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 (Crunchyroll)

I never watched the first season, but as this season was airing, I kept hearing great things about it from friends. It’s apparently really well done and I appreciate series with longer episode orders so you get lots of story. Maybe I’ll get to it another time!

Sorairo Utility (HIDIVE)

After enjoying Rising Impact and Tonbo I was looking forward to watching another golf themed series. This one sounded like a fun initial twist on how the character finds golf. Next time I’m craving a sports anime I’ll try to check this one out!

These twelve anime series from Winter 2025 caught my attention for many reasons and I was (mostly) very glad I watched them!

12) Anyway, I’m Falling In Love With You (Crunchyroll)

Honestly, this is one of the most boring anime series I have ever watched. The story follows a girl and her looking back on her younger life, bouncing between the present and past. The past is a time when a “virus” disrupted life, but they still found ways to be kids and fall in love. The show really wanted to ignore the “virus” aspect yet kept bringing it up? The show was so forgettable, I’d forget what happened by the time the episodes ended. Everyone was in love, but no one was making moves? It was just vibes. Really strange. It also will be back for a second season. Not sure if I will though!

11) Honey Lemon Soda (Crunchyroll)

This romance series had potential and moments where I was really pulled in, but it just lacked a cohesive thread as a whole. The main characters were flawed and it’s the point that they can grow and become better people. I just didn’t buy the romance aspect. The guy was cold often, which helped the main girl grow, but it was just strange at times. The way the adults were portrayed as well was odd. They also flew through storylines when they could have used more time to really flesh out the stories.

10) The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World (Crunchyroll)

When I read the description of this series, I knew I had to check it out. A power ranger essentially ends up in another world in possession of his power ranger technology, giving him the abilities he had in the real world in the new one. It was funny, had some fun fight scenes, and I appreciated the “magic” lore that began to grow as the series went on. I found myself wondering how the physics of the power ranger magic worked in the new world and if it still existed in the real world. Tonally it bounced all over, but it was still funny and charming.

9) My Happy Marriage Season Two (Netflix)

Season two of this romance started off with a great evil stepmother storyline. It was juicy and helped our main heroine Miyo grow even stronger as a person. She was so bashful and soft spoken in the first season, this arc allowed her to become more confident and want to become stronger. The second half focused on a bigger threat, and less on her personal growth, and even the main romance aspect of the series. It was all still there, but the bigger threat took the main time of the storyline. Seeing Miyo tap into her true potential all season long was the main draw. Beautiful, poignant and a delight.

8) Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms (Crunchyroll)

The romantic comedy series could have easily been a one joke story that they drove into the ground quickly, instead, it became more complex and the humor helped keep it fresh all season long. I loved seeing Medaka try to resist his obvious attraction to Mona. She still tried to get his attention all season long, and eventually was able to make small chips in his armor. It was charming and I loved the way the characters’ inner thoughts were portrayed. The series will return for a second season.

7) Sakamoto Days (Netflix)

Part one of this series was full of great fights and funny moments. A former assassin has taken a quiet life as a family man running a business. When a bounty is put on his head, he successfully and often comically avoids the attempts on his life. He’s smooth, quick and always at attention, despite his new plumper body size. The characters around him are just as deadly, and are unintentionally funny. I enjoyed the first half of the story and look forward to when it returns this summer.

6) Link Click: Bridon Arc (Crunchyroll)

This new story is pretty much a prequel series, though its placement in the main storyline is later. There’s also some hints that we’ve been on an all encompassing time traveling plot even longer than we knew. We go to the past again, this time for an extended period of time. We see younger versions of the main characters and get to know them even more. Things begin to change in the timeline that are unexpected. In the end, it left me with even more questions. I miss the case of the week way the first season told its story, but it’s another compelling season of Link Click that I want to live in for a long time.

5) Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective (Crunchyroll)

If you take a medical show and mash it up with a detective series, you have Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective. A young gifted doctor helps solve unique medical cases by looking at the full pictures. She’s got her quirks and even though she is brilliant, she still questions her abilities, making her feel even more human. Some cases took multiple episodes to solve. Some stories were stronger than others, but I really enjoyed the vibes of this series. A few production issues led to delays, but I still looked forward to the next episode.

4) The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season Two (Crunchyroll)

This comedy series is seriously bonkers in the best way. Season two dials up the wacky even more, leading to even funnier episodes and jokes. We meet even more girlfriends this season, and each is quirkier than the last. It’s such a wild premise that it could easily fall flat and repetitive. My favorite arc was the baseball one. It was full of so much humor, great character development, and so many meta moments made me crack up. I’m so glad I kept up with this one! I can’t wait to see the Rentaro family grow even more.

3) Zenshu (Crunchyroll)

I almost didn’t watch this one going into the winter season. As an original story, it always runs the risk of losing its hold midway. Somehow, Zenshu gets even better as it quickly becomes self assured in the tone and story it wants to tell. It’s part isekai, part fantasy, part comedy and part drama. It is such a unique story story. I don’t want to give away too much of the plot, because it’s a lot of fun seeing how it all goes down. I’m glad I went in blind. It made me appreciate the story more. The animation is on point, as it is MAPPA, and it is so confident in itself in every aspect. I hope we see more bold unique stories to come.

2) Medalist (hulu)

This one wasn’t even on my radar going into the Winter season. As I’ve said before, sports anime are some of my favorite series for a reason. I don’t think I’d normally watch a series about figure skating, yet, it is compelling and must see. The characters are precious, hopeful, and full of so much life. You can’t help but root for everyone. Inori and Tsukasa are such great characters. They’re adorable, funny and great at what they do. They also don’t shy away from their insecurities and past difficulties. Major performances are CGI animation and the transition might be a little jarring, but I grew to love it. They’re well choreographed, and the are a sight to see. I am so happy the series will be back for a second season!

1) Solo Leveling Season Two (Crunchyroll)

The first season was enjoyable, but season two takes the series to a new level. Jinwoo is exponentially growing in power, strength and ability. Episodes fly by with tons of action, sure a few slower episodes every now and then, but it is telling a lot of story in a short time. I almost wish some arcs could have been an episode or two longer just so I could have lived in the moments longer, but they were so good! The battles are intense and beautifully animated. I’m not sure how much more there is to adapt, but I hope we get more real soon! It is so intense, shocking and confident in itself. I need more!!

With the Spring 2025 season about to begin, I’m looking forward to checking out these new and returning series: Lazarus (adult swim/Toonami), Go! Go! Loser Ranger! (season two, hulu), Wind Breaker (season two, Crunchyroll), Witch Watch (Netflix/hulu/Crunchyroll), Mono (Crunchyroll), Yaiba: Samurai Legend (Netflix/hulu), To Be Hero X (Crunchyroll), Moonrise (Netflix), and Lycoris Recoil Short Movie. Hopefully I will be able to watch them all and I’m sure I’ll find even more unexpected ones to watch!

What were your favorite series of the Winter 2025 season? It’s never too late to start a new series! Here’s to more great anime in 2025!

These series and more can be streamed with English subtitles and some English dubs on various streamers including Crunchyroll, Netflix, hulu, Prime Video, Max, HIDIVE, and more.

They will join Matlock, Sheriff Country, Boston Blue, The Road, Survivor, The Amazing Race, and FBI, which is also renewed for an additional season. Additional series orders and renewals will be made at future dates.

Nickelodeon has ordered animated series Avatar: Seven Havens set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The 26-episode, 2D-animated series centers around a young Earthbender who discovers she’s the new Avatar. Set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, a young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse. The news comes as Nickelodeon celebrates the milestone 20th anniversary of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Previously announced, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ highly anticipated Untitled Animated Aang Avatar film debuts only in theatres on January 30, 2026, featuring a voice cast that includes Dave Bautista, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, Román Zaragoza and introducing Eric Nam.

NBC has renewed Happy’s Place for a second season. In the comedy series, Bobbie inherits her father’s tavern (Happy’s Place) and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella, a twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had. The series stars Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn.

ABC has ordered a new 9-1-1 spinoff. The new series 9-1-1: Nashville will follow a group of first responders in Nashville. The first spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star recently wrapped its series on Fox. Additionally, it was announced that 9-1-1 will crossover with Doctor Odyssey. The episode will air March 20.

Hulu has renewed Paradise for a second season. The political thriller is from creator Dan Fogelman, and stars Sterling K. Brown as Agent Xavier Collins. The series is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs, and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.

The English Dub of Link Click: Bridon Arc will premiere on Crunchyroll February 21. Using superpowers to enter their clientele’s photos one by one, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang take their work seriously at “Time Photo Studio,” a small photography shop set in the backdrop of a modern metropolis. Each job can be full of danger, but nothing is more important than fulfilling every order, no matter the scale…or peril involved!

Season four of The Righteous Gemstones premieres on HBO March 9. They’re raising holy hell one last time.

Long Bright River premieres March 13 on Peacock. The limited series is based on the novel by Liz Moore. The suspense thriller series tells the story of Mickey (Amanda Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis. When a series of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history might be related to the case.

Season three of The Wheel of Time premieres March 13 on Prime Video. After defeating Ishamael, one of the most powerful of the Forsaken, at the end of Season Two, Rand reunites with his friends in the city of Falme and is declared the Dragon Reborn. But in Season Three, the threats against the Light are multiplying: the White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah run free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon… including Lanfear, whose relationship with Rand will mark a crucial choice between Light and Dark for them both. As the ties to his past begin to unravel, and his corrupted power grows stronger, Rand becomes increasingly unrecognizable to his closest allies, Moiraine and Egwene. These powerful women, who started the series as teacher and student, must now work together to prevent the Dragon from turning to the Dark… no matter the cost.

Like Tears In Rain will premiere on Viaplay March 13. The popular, well-revered and charismatic Dutch actor Rutger Hauer kept the outside world at arm’s length all his life. Despite his iconic roles in Blade Runner and Turkish Delight as well as more than 170 credits including The Hitcher, Batman Begins, and Sin City as well as TV series like Smallville and True Blood, there is only a small group of people who truly knew the multiple award-winning actor. Through private, never-before-seen footage and candid interviews with family, friends and colleagues, his goddaughter Sanna Fabery de Jonge uncovers his intimate world in the revealing, acclaimed documentary. The title of the film is taken from one of the most famous scenes in sci-fi history: Hauer’s legendary monologue at the end of Blade Runner. Through conversations with his wife, friends, and colleagues including Whoopi Goldberg, Paul Verhoeven, Vincent D’Onofrio, Miranda Richardson, Robert Rodriguez, and Mickey Rourke, we see the person behind Rutger Hauer’s charismatic yet elusive character.

Adult Swim will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Robot Chicken with an all-new special that dives into iconic reality shows from Warner Bros. Discovery networks. “The Robot Chicken Self-Discovery Special,” follows the hapless Robot Chicken Nerd as he seeks self-discovery America’s way: going on reality shows! Will he find a 90 Day Fiancé – or end up Shark Week chum? With parodies of fan-favorite series from Discovery, Food Network, and TLC, the new special arrives on Adult Swim this summer. Additionally, Adult Swim is airing the series five-nights a week throughout the month of February, with a late-night double episode, Monday – Thursday beginning at 12:30am ET/PT, and featured specials airing late night Sundays at 1:00am ET/PT. All 11 seasons are currently available to stream on Max.

A new season of Jury Duty is coming to Prime Video. The series, which has already filmed, will feature a new premise to keep its ruse going. The comedy documentary will feature an unsuspecting person surrounded by actors who are in on the secret.

Crunchyroll revealed that global music superstar J Balvin will voice dungeon boss Kargalgan in both the English and Spanish dubs of Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. The English dub featuring J Balvin as the voice of Kargalgan premieres February 22 at 1 p.m. / 4 p.m. ET. The Spanish dub premieres March 1 at the same time.

Played by Alexander Skarsgård, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.

All eight episodes of The Bondsman will premiere April 3 on Prime Video. Kevin Bacon stars as Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter who’s back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell. By chasing down those demons with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned — which pushes him to seek a second chance at life, love, and country music.

Golf comedy series Stick premieres June 4 on Apple TV+. The 10-episode season will debut with three episodes, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through July 23. After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi. It is a heartfelt, feel-good comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before. In addition to Wilson, the ensemble cast includes Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant, and features guest appearances from golf superstars such as Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa, Wyndham Clark and more. Additional cameos include broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, Good Good’s Matt Scharff, Brad Dalke and Garrett Clark, as well as golf enthusiast Dan Rapaport.
