First off, I was looking forward to watching these series, but didn’t have the time yet to check them out.

Blue Box (Netflix)

This sports, romance series was on my list to check out due to the fact that I love a good sports themed anime series. I have only heard great things about it and plan to watch it in the new year. The series will continue with its second cour into the Winter 2025 season as the first season contains 25 episodes.

Negative Positive Angler (Crunchyroll)

One of my favorite things about anime are series which focus on subject I normally wouldn’t watch. This series has a focus on fishing, something I wouldn’t normally find myself drawn to. A down on his luck guy finds himself close to a group of fishermen and his outlook on life may change for the better. I will still try to watch this one!

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Netflix)

I’ve heard rave things about this drama series focusing on astronomy. A young kid tries to prove heliocentrism, going against the church and the going theory of geocentrism. Such a fascinating concept and I will have to check it out at some point.

These ten anime series caught my attention for many reasons and I was very glad I watched them!

10) Tonbo! season two (Prime Video)

The second season saw Tonbo exploring a new life of golf outside of the island she has known her whole life. There’s something comforting watching the young amateur golfer Tonbo unlock her potential as a golf player. Her constant optimism is refreshing and the way she impacts those around her to become better players as well is fun. The stakes are low and it makes Golf interesting, seeing the inner thought process of Tonbo and the other players she encounters.

9) I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History (Crunchyroll)

I’m not usually one to watch Villainess series, but after thoroughly enjoying I’m in Love with the Villainess I figured I’d try this one out as well. While I didn’t find it as entertaining, it has a strong lead and the potential to grow into something even better. The Isekai aspect of the series is minimal and only informs the main characters intentions and actions.

8) You Are Ms. Servant (Crunchyroll)

This one has a sort of similar premise to The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious but with more depth as a mysterious woman shows up and becomes a maid/servant for the young main character. It grew on me more as the series continued. The story grows with each episode creating more connections to each character, leaving you wanting to know more.

7) Uzumaki (adult swim/Toonami, Max)

Look, I know there was a lot of criticism about the drop off in animation quality after the first episode, but I still really enjoyed the series. The series animation recovered a bit in the final episodes but never hit the perfection of the first episode. I never read the manga, but the story was perfectly scheduled to air around Halloween. With a good mix of suspense and creepiness, I was very entertained.

6) Dragon Ball DAIMA (Crunchyroll, hulu, Netflix)

I watched Dragon Ball Z after school growing up so I have been a long time fan. I never got around to watching Dragon Ball Super, but I was really excited to check out this new series. Anyone looking for constant Super Saiyan powering up will be disappointed, but it is more similar to the original Dragon Ball in its more slice of life storytelling. You get a good mix of low key stories and action fighting. I will never say no to more Dragon Ball content!

5) Ranma 1/2 (Netflix)

Super silly and entertaining, it has a similar vibe to the always hilarious Urusei Yatsura. I never watched the original series, but the premise of Ranma changing from a boy to a girl based on getting wet is hilarious on top of the scenarios the characters find themselves in. Ranma and Akane can be at each others throats at one second, then finding themselves unintentionally bonding the next. I cannot wait to see what other crazy hijinks these characters find themselves in when the second season premieres.

4) Blue Lock season two (Crunchyroll)

This is another series which saw much criticism due to its step down in animation quality from the first season, but I am completely engrossed in the story about a group of kids vying to become the best striker in Japan. Great characters all around that will keep me tuning in as long as the series goes. Sure it didn’t feel as powerful as the first season, but I’m fully invested in finding out who makes it through the end of the Blue Lock program.

3) Demon Lord 2099 (Crunchyroll)

This one really surprised me. A demon lord from the past returns in the future and has to adjust to the new way of life. He must find former allies who are also still alive, new ones, and comes to blows with heroes and villains from his past. I love the way if feels current yet also a take on what a potential future could look like. It has more humor than I expected with lots of angst and fights. What I thought was the season long villain arc gets resolved sooner than I expected and it goes in another interesting direction.

2) DAN DA DAN (Netflix, hulu, Crunchyroll)

A unique premise involving aliens and the supernatural will have you laughing one second and then wondering why your face is suddenly leaking. It’s surprisingly deeper than how it presents itself at times. I loved the look of the animation and it had great characters with a fun story that constantly goes in unexpected directions. It feels unique and stands out in a crowded field of entertaining series. The cliffhanger ending has me dying to see what comes next when it returns for its second season.

1) MF Ghost season two (Crunchyroll)

I’m completely in love with this series. A followup to the incredible Initial D series, this one sees a new generation of car racers attempt to be the best, this time in an organized competition. The eurobeats still go hard, and the animation is even better, all while retaining the heart of the original series. Engaging and intense at times, it’s hard to look away and the episodes fly by. With a third season confirmed, hopefully some streamer will pick up Initial D again so I can do a rewatch. Last I saw hulu had a couple seasons but no one has them right now! Hopefully more people find this one as it deserves to be a huge hit.

With the Winter 2025 season about to begin, I’m looking forward to checking out these series: Solo Leveling season two (Crunchyroll), My Happy Marriage season two (Netflix), The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You season two (Crunchyroll), Sakamoto Days (Netflix), Honey Lemon Soda (Crunchyroll), Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective (Crunchyroll), Medalist (hulu), The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World (Crunchyroll), and the SK8 the Infinity OVA (FINALLY!!!). Hopefully I will be able to watch them all and I’m sure I’ll find even more unexpected ones to watch!

Anime series MF Ghost has been renewed for a third season. The series streams on Crunchyroll. Japan adopts self-driving electric automobiles and renders most gas engines obsolete by 202X. The fastest cars find new life in the MFG, a racing circuit held on Japanese motorways. Drivers from around the world race for a shot at the title. Kanata Rivington returns from Britain to Japan for the MFG—and to find his father. Can he win the title and find answers? Buckle up and push it to the limit! 

Crime drama series The Hunting Party premieres February 3 on NBC. When a secret prison suffers a mysterious explosion that allows the nation’s most violent serial killers to escape, a former profiler is thrust back into a thrilling game of cat and mouse. Alongside a team of soldiers, spies and special agents, she has no choice but to track down and recapture these dangerous criminals… before they kill again. 

Comedy series Going Dutch premieres on Fox January 2. The series centers on an arrogant, loudmouth U.S. Army Colonel, who, after an epically unfiltered rant, is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the least important army base in the world. After serving with distinction in every warzone of the last three decades, he now finds himself in charge of a base with no guns, no weapons, and no tactical purpose. Instead, it has a Michelin-star-level commissary, top-notch bowling alley and the best (and only) fromagerie in the U.S. Army. Surrounded by a diverse group of underdogs, the colonel tries to reinstall military discipline and professionalism with the help of the base’s previous interim leader, who just happens to be his estranged daughter. 

Max has renewed Creature Commandos for a second season. The series tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option. 

Hallmark+ has renewed Finding Mr. Christmas for a second season. The reality competition series is hosted by Jonathan Bennett with Melissa Peterman as lead judge. Ten aspiring actors compete in a variety of festive, entertaining challenges, with a Hallmark twist: the winner is crowned Mr. Christmas and given the opportunity to become Hallmark’s next leading man, with a starring role in a Countdown to Christmas movie.

Premiere windows for three anime series which stream on Crunchyroll have been announced. Season two of Kaiju No. 8 will premiere July 2025. Season three of Spy x Family will premiere October 2025. Season two of Hell’s Paradise will premiere January 2026. 

NBC is set to ring in the new year with a live broadcast of the 136th Rose Parade Presented by Honda on January 1 from 8-10 a.m. PT (11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET). Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will return to the booth for this year’s telecast from “TV Corner” (Orange Grove Avenue at Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, Calif.) This year marks Roker’s 26th year hosting the telecast. The event also represents NBC’s 98th year broadcasting the Rose Parade, a tradition that began on radio in 1927 and transitioned to television in 1954. Tennis icon and women’s rights advocate Billie Jean King will serve as the Rose Parade Grand Marshal. It will feature 39 brilliant rose-covered floats, 16 equestrian teams and 24 marching bands from around the world.

Season two of Mission: Yozakura Family will premiere in 2026. The first season of the anime series streamed on hulu. A family far from ordinary?! High schooler Taiyo Asano, the ‘Ultimate Introvert’, lost his family in a tragic accident. The only one he could speak to is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura who harbors a wild secret as the heir to a spy lineage. Her brother, Kyoichiro, a skilled spy, targets Taiyo. To save themselves, Taiyo agrees to marry Mutsumi and join the Yozakura family, embarking on an unprecedented mission!

The new season of When Calls the Heart premieres on PBS January 5. The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s book series about the Canadian West. The series follows the story of a schoolteacher and single mother, Elizabeth Thornton, in the quaint town of Hope Valley. With the help and guidance of the townspeople and her friends, she adjusts to the ever-changing times and the people that enter her life. 

Danish miniseries Bullshit premieres January 30 on Viaplay. The series is based on the non-fiction book of the same name about Copenhagen biker gangs in the late ’70s-early ’80s. The coming-of-age historical drama tells the powerful story of a group of lost and rebellious youths who find community and belonging in the hardcore biker gang “Bullshit,” but leads to a world of brutal conflict. The six-part drama series delves into the bikers’ darkly exciting, but dangerous world as a passionate love story unfolds. 

Season five of All Creatures Great and Small premieres on PBS January 12. The series will continue to bring the stories of James Herriot to life as we return to Darrowby to join our unconventional much-loved Skeldale Family and the colourful ensemble of farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s. 

Lovers Anonymous premieres January 16 on Netflix. Cem, scarred by a childhood that crushed his trust in love, runs the “Love Hospital,” until Hazal, who believes in the power of love, disrupts his life.

Season three of Death by Fame premieres January 13 on ID. The series delves into the dark side of fame and celebrity, uncovering the shocking true stories behind the murders of some of Hollywood’s most promising stars. Each episode features the expertise of criminal trial attorney Sara Azari, who provides unique insights into these tragic endings. This season, viewers can look forward to eight gripping episodes that chart the rise, fall and untimely deaths of budding talent whose promising futures were cut short. Through interviews with victims’ families, friends, investigators and journalists along with Sara Azari’s expert commentary, each episode sheds light on a shadowy world lurking behind the pursuit of fame. 

Netflix showcased its exciting lineup of recent and upcoming anime titles at Jump Festa 2025, the largest annual manga and anime fan convention. Held on December 21-22 at the Makuhari Messe convention center near Tokyo, the event was hosted by five Shueisha magazines – Weekly Shonen Jump, Shonen Jump+, V Jump, Jump Square, and Saikyo Jump. SAKAMOTO DAYS premieres January 11. Season two of DAN DA DAN will premiere in July 2025. Blue Box is currently streaming. Dragon Ball DAIMA is also currently streaming. THE ONE PIECE, a new anime adaptation of ONE PIECE starting from the East Blue Saga, is coming soon. Ranma 1/2 was renewed for a second season. 

Cedric the Entertainer serves up a double dose of laughter with two special editions of The Greatest @Home Videos on CBS. “Holiday Edition” will premiere December 27 with “Cedy Awards” premiering January 3.

Starz has canceled The Serpent Queen after two seasons.The series is based on the book “Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France” by Leonie Frieda. A spinoff series focusing on Queen Elizabeth I is in the works. 

Netflix has renewed Nobody Wants This for a second season. An agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound walk into a party. When they walk out – together – the unlikely pair, Joanne and Noah, can tell there is something between them. But also potentially between them, with their differing outlooks on life, all of the modern obstacles to love, and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families – including her sister Morgan and his brother Sasha. The new season will premiere in 2025. 

The fifth and final season of Star Trek: Lower Decks premieres October 24 on Paramount+ with the first two episodes. The crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is tasked with closing “space potholes” – subspace rifts that are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant. Pothole duty would be easy for Junior Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford … If they didn’t also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries and scariest of all: their own career aspirations. The upcoming season is a celebration of this underdog crew who are dangerously close to being promoted out of the lower decks and into strange new Starfleet roles. 

Season two of Hellbound premieres October 25 on Netflix. As the chaos deepens, lawyer Min Hyejin, The New Truth and Arrowheads get entangled anew amid the sudden resurrections of the formerly condemned. 

Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld premieres December 5 on Netflix. Slaying demons or slaying homecoming dance? Why not both?

Dragon Ball DAIMA premieres October 11 on Crunchyroll with new episodes releasing every Friday. Goku and company were living peaceful lives when they suddenly turned small due to a conspiracy! When they discover that the reason for this may lie in a world known as the “Demon Realm”, a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them. This new episodic series celebrates the birth of the global Dragon Ball phenomenon— commemorating the 40th anniversary of the original manga created by Akira Toriyama that first launched in 1984 in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump” and since then has sold an astounding 260 million copies worldwide and counting. The English dub of the series will premiere in theaters November 10, 11 and 12. 

CBS is ready for spooky season with Halloween themed episodes from fan favorite series. Enjoy special episodes of NCIS, Ghosts, Elsbeth, daytime’s The Price Is Right, The Talk, Let’s Make a Deal and The Bold and the Beautiful. 

Season two of Deal or No Deal Island will return with Joe Manganiello as host and ultimate game master. Included in the crop of players for the new season are TV veterans Parvati Shallow, Dr. Will Kirby and David Genat. These familiar faces are no strangers to the high-stakes challenges and complex mind games they’ll face on the island. All three will bring their A-game, but have their work cut out for them among a cutthroat roster of fellow players. 

Acorn TV has ordered Irish Blood to series. It follows hot-shot Los Angeles divorce lawyer, Fiona Sharpe, who receives a letter from her estranged father and sets out to uncover the mystery of his disappearance. Alicia Silverstone will star in the six episode series. 

CBS made a small change to its schedule. An encore of the second episode of The Summit will air October 11 (9:00-10:30 PM, ET/PT), following the previously scheduled original episode of Big Brother. Ghosts will air a repeat at 10:30-11:00 PM, ET/PT. 

Millennial Money returns October 13 on CNBC. Hosted by Ashton Jackson, the nine episode season puts the “personal” in personal finance. Get an inside look at the lives and finances of millennials to see exactly how much they earn, what they spend it on and how they invest. From starting a business to changing careers, getting in and out of debt, creating an unusual income stream, or casting it all aside to start over again, young people reveal the steps they took to make it happen. Including how much they get paid, what they spend on food, shelter and fun, and how they plan on saving for the future, it takes a revealing look into the one area people seem to never talk about: their money. 

Shane Smith Has Questions premieres October 17 on Vice. Host Shane Smith discusses the fascinating fundamental truths (if there are any?) of the most interesting and convoluted social and political issues of today.

The season seven Love Is Blind reunion airs October 30 on Netflix. The cast will join hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey to revisit the season’s twists and turns, share reactions to watching their stories unfold on screen, and reveal where their relationships stand today. 

Love & Marriage: Huntsville returns November 2 on OWN. The series will continue to follow the lives of a group of longtime friends and frenemies with strong personalities and opinions who live in Huntsville, Alabama: Melody Rodgers and her ex-husband Martell Holt, Maurice and Kimmi Scott, Marsau and LaTisha Scott, beauty maven Stormi Steele and her husband Courtney Beasley, community pillars Chris and Nell Fletcher, as well as Destiny Payton, plus the newest members to the group, Tricia Reedus and her partner Ken Lee, and Sunni and Moses. 

Cold Case Files: The Grim Sleeper, narrated by Regina Hall, premieres November 8 on A&E. In Los Angeles in the 1980’s, a killer terrorized South Central, murdering African American women and discarding their bodies in the street. Yet, as the victim count rose, there were few suspects leading to fear and anger in a community often overlooked by the LAPD. Eventually dubbed “The Grim Sleeper,” this notorious killer went on to terrorize the neighborhood for decades until DNA technology allowed the LAPD to close in on the perpetrator. Featuring in depth interviews with survivors and victims’ families, many speaking for the first time, as well as rare archival footage, “Cold Case Files: The Grim Sleeper” explores the personal stories of the victims who were all but forgotten by the police, the media and the community at large. 

Bank Under Siege premieres November 8 on Netflix. Spain, 1981: When armed men hold up a bank and take hundreds hostage, a reporter races against the authorities to uncover the true motive for the heist. Docuseries A Great Day with J Balvin premieres October 17 on Peacock with all six episodes. Three new series will premiere this fall on ID. Operation Undercover (November 12), Before They Kill Again (November 3) and Feuds Turned Fatal (November 6) will be joined by a new season of Fear Thy Neighbor (October 23).

Martha premieres on Netflix October 30. Cross premieres on Prime Video November 14 with all eight episodes. Solar Opposites Halloween Special Part 2 premieres October 7 on hulu. Spooky stuff is afoot when the SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN starts to take over Korvo’s life. The series centers around a team of four aliens who are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo and Yumyulack only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry and Jesse love TV, junk food and fun stuff. 

Velma: This Halloween Needs to Be More Special! premieres October 3 on Max. With just 24 hours to bring Velma back, the friends search for a dark spellbook while trying to avoid the wrath of a vengeful spirit. But as the annual Sexy Halloween party nears, Velma and the gang must face their biggest fears… if they all want to make it out alive. 

To celebrate the holiday season, Apple TV+ will provide special free streaming windows for nonsubscribers to enjoy the iconic Peanuts holiday specials. Don’t miss It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, available Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20; A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, available Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24; and A Charlie Brown Christmas, available Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15. ABC and The Wonderful World of Disney have unveiled the lineup of beloved hits and fan-favorite films to air Sundays this fall. Highlights include the world television premiere of The Little Mermaid (2023), the live-action reimagining of the animated musical classic, and broadcast television debuts of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Haunted Mansion (2023) and Hocus Pocus 2. 

The Legally Blonde prequel series Elle has announced a global casting call to find young Elle Woods, a high school version of the iconic character Reese Witherspoon played in the films. A driven, natural born leader who will always stop to straighten another woman’s crown, Elle’s magnetic personality brightens the world with confidence, vulnerability, and an earnestness that charms everyone around her. Coming of age in the 90s Elle will encounter her first love and her first heartbreak, and she will find her moral convictions. 

Senna premieres November 29 on Netflix. The six episode miniseries dramatizes for the first time Ayrton Senna’s journey through triumphs, disappointments, joys, and sorrows, revealing his personality and personal relationships. The story starts at the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s motor racing career, following him from his karting days, through his move to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues up to the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix. 

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced the lineup of special guests who will take the stage to present, perform and honor this year’s Inductees at the highly anticipated Induction Ceremony on Oct. 19, 2024, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. Inductees performing include Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & The Gang, and Dionne Warwick, promising an unforgettable night of music and celebration. Dr. Dre, Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa, James Taylor, Jelly Roll, Julia Roberts, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney and more will also join. The CW Network has set its broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 ACC men’s and women’s basketball season. Beginning in December, The CW will enter its second season broadcasting 28 men’s basketball games and nine women’s basketball games. Men’s doubleheaders will air Saturday afternoons with women’s games airing on Sundays. 

The English dub of Dragon Ball DAIMA will premiere in theaters on November 10, 11 and 12. The event will feature the first three episodes. Tickets will go on sale October 11, 2024. The series will stream with English subtitles on Crunchyroll October 11.

Love Is Blind, Habibi premieres October 10 on Netflix. Celebrity couple Khaled Saqr and Elham Ali host this social experiment, where Arab singles connect and commit to marriage – before meeting face-to-face.

Prime Video has ordered two seasons of author Patricia Cornwell’s Scarpetta. Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis are set to star in the series. The mystery thriller, based on the book series, follows Kay Scarpetta, the Chief Medical Examiner, as she returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional – including her sister Dorothy, with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover. The series also stars Bobby Cannavale Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose, Rosy McEwen and Jake Cannavale. 

Season seven of Love Is Blind premieres October 2 on Netflix. Singles who want to be loved for who they are have signed up for a less conventional approach to modern dating, and will choose someone to marry without ever meeting them. Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding, and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the pods. Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian has been renewed for a second season. The series streams in English subtitles and dub on Crunchyroll. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to. Crunchyroll has announced its lineup for the Fall 2024 anime season. The lineup includes series with English subtitles, and a lineup of series with English dubs as well. Series set to premiere in the coming weeks include Dragon Ball DAIMA (October 11), DAN DA DAN (October 3), Season Two of Blue Lock (October 5), and the continuations of One Piece, Tower of God Season 2, FAIRY TAIL: 100 Years Quest, True Beauty, and more. 

Daniel Lubetzky has been promoted to a full time Shark on season 16 of Shark Tank. The season premieres October 18 on ABC. Lubetzky has been a guest shark on the last five seasons. He joins joins fellow Sharks Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary. Guest Sharks include Todd Graves, Jamie Kern Lima, Rashaun Williams, and returning guest Shark Kendra Scott. 

Investigation Discovery has a docuseries about Sean “Diddy” Combs in production amid his legal woes. It will explore the rise and influence of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have trailed the music mogul. As accounts of sexual assault, abusive behaviors, and other disturbing claims surface, the doc traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity. The multipart docuseries is set to premiere in 2025 on ID and Max. 

ABC News will dedicate month-long coverage celebrating Hispanic and Latin American (HLA) Heritage Month. The network-wide coverage will celebrate the diverse and unique history and heritage of the multifaceted Hispanic and Latin American community, including the contributions of individuals from multiple origin countries. Part one of Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black premieres October 24 on Netflix. The series follows two women leading very different lives. While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory is running a successful business, they find themselves entangled in each other’s lives. 

The Real Housewives of Potomac returns October 6 on Bravo. Returning this season are housewives, Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo and Mia Thornton. The ladies are joined by new housewives Stacey Rusch, former QVC host, and Keiarna Stewart, a successful entrepreneur. Stacey has an 8-year-old daughter and is in the middle of a divorce. Keiarna has reservations about some of the ladies, but is trying to forge her own place within the group. Friendly face Jacqueline Blake returns, and Jassi Rideaux joins as a friend of the housewives. 

Twilight of the Gods premieres September 19 on Netflix. The English Dub of Oshi No Ko will premiere on HIDIVE September 13. Aqua’s desire for revenge takes center stage as he navigates the dark underbelly of the entertainment world alongside his twin sister, Ruby. While Ruby follows in their slain mother’s footsteps to become an idol, Aqua joins a famous theater troupe in hopes of uncovering clues to the identity of his father — the man who arranged their mother’s untimely death, and the man who may be connected to the same troupe Aqua hopes to infiltrate. 

HBO has ordered comedy series The Chair Company. After an embarrassing incident at work, a man finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. Tim Robinson will star in the series along with Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips guest starred in the pilot as Jeff Levjman.

The Creep Tapes premieres November 15 on Shudder and AMC+. It is the next installment of the iconic found horror footage franchise Creep. Unfortunately, as the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface with his increasingly odd behavior and the victims will learn they may have made a deadly mistake. 

16 trekkers will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through the treacherous New Zealand Alps as they compete on The Summit, the new strategic high altitude competition series kicking off with the sneak peek series premiere on September 29 (9:00-10:30 PM, ET; 8:30-10:00 PM, PT) before moving to its regular time slot beginning October 9 (9:30-11:00 PM, ET/PT) following Survivor on the CBS. These 16 strangers – from a Trader Joe’s employee and mother of two, to a 29-year-old trauma nurse, to a 33-year-old Air Force service member – are truly stepping into the unknown, as they did not know what they were signing up for and many of them have no previous climbing or camping experience. Prime Video announced a new stand-up special from comedian George Lopez. The taping will take place at the Los Angeles dates of his ALLLRIIIIGHHTTT! Comedy Tour, September 27 and 28 at the Dolby theater. The premiere date for the one-hour special will be announced at a later date. 

Adult Swim returns to New York Comic Con with can’t-miss panels featuring appearances from Rick and Morty executive producer Dan Harmon and Lazarus creator and acclaimed anime director Shinichirō Watanabe, breaking news, and exclusive debuts of never-before-aired content. German series Where’s Wanda? premieres October 2 on Apple TV+. The series tells the story of Dedo and Carlotta Klatt, who are desperate to locate their missing 17-year-old daughter Wanda, who disappeared months ago without a trace. When the police fail to find her, the family takes matters into their own hands, obtaining surveillance devices with the help of their tech-savvy son Ole. Disguising themselves as employees of an electrical company, they bug their neighborhood and then half their suburb, finding out that behind closed doors, none of their neighbors are who they pretend to be. 

Limited series Bank Under Siege premieres November 8 on Netflix. Barcelona, May 23rd 1981. Exactly three months have passed since the attempted coup d’état at the Congress of Deputies when eleven hooded men entered the headquarters of the Central Bank in Barcelona. What starts as a spectacular robbery soon becomes a real challenge to Spain’s recent democracy. The robbers hold more than 200 hostages in the bank and threaten to kill them if the government does not agree to free Colonel Tejero and three others in charge of the 23F. 

Season 57 on 60 Minutes premieres September 15 on CBS. Building on the success of last season’s expanded episodes, episodes will become 90 minutes six times this fall, including some Sundays when CBS airs an NFL doubleheader. The expanded episodes are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29, Sunday, Oct. 20, Sunday, Nov. 10 and 17, and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 8.

Anime series Dragon Ball DAIMA is set to premiere in Fall 2024. The new series is set to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Drawn by the original creator, Akira Toriyama, the series will tell a story never told. Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. In order to fix things, they’ll head off to a new world! It’s a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world.

Archer will be ending with a special finale event Archer: Into the Cold December 17 on FX and FXX. Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy that follows Sterling Archer as he navigates the changing landscape of the spy world. In season 14, Archer and The Agency found their own way with Lana at the helm. Her goal was to make money while also making the world a better place, but she quickly discovered running a spy agency isn’t so cut and dry. 

The two part The Real Housewives of New York City reunion will premiere October 22 on Bravo. Host Andy Cohen sits down with housewives Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield for their first reunion on a recreated set of Casa Cipriani. 

A new daytime talk show starring Ken Jeong is in the works. The potential new talker is being eyed for 2024. 

A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop will air on CBS December 10. A star-studded lineup of hip hop legends and GRAMMY-winning artists including Black Thought, Bun B, Common, De La Soul, Jermaine Dupri, J.J. Fad, Talib Kweli, The Lady Of Rage, LL COOL J, MC Sha-Rock, Monie Love, The Pharcyde, Queen Latifah, Questlove, Rakim, Remy Ma, Uncle Luke, Yo-Yo, and many more are set to grace the stage at the special tribute concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip hop. The live concert special will showcase and celebrate the genre’s profound history and monumental cultural impact around the world. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks. 

Masters of Illusion and World’s Funniest Animals will now air on Fridays at 9:00 and 9:30 starting October 27. Penn & Teller: Fool Us will still air at 8:00 on Fridays starting October 27. A new Saturday lineup will be announced at a later time. 

Anime series Kaiju No. 8 is coming to Crunchyroll in Spring 2024 in sub and dub. The  series is centered around a group of characters living in a world where giant monsters (or kaiju) attack humanity and the creatures’ destructive aftermath. Kaiju is a Japanese term that is commonly associated with television, movies, and books involving giant monsters (usually depicted attacking major cities and battling the military or other monsters), which has been a science fiction mainstay in the media for decades. Also coming soon to Crunchyroll are Classroom of the Elite Season 3, Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf, The Unwanted Undead Adventurer, 7th Time Loop : The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!, Sengoku Youko, and The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil. 

Under the Vines will be back for a third season on Acorn TV. Rebecca Gibney and Charles Edwards will be returning as Daisy Monroe and Louis Oakley in the new season. 

ESPN2 will simulcast ESPN Deportes’ Spanish-language presentation of Monday Night Football on October 16, featuring the Dallas Cowboys and the L.A. Chargers.
