They are partnered together, and each uses their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, disguises, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Season 1’s cliffhanger found Ellis about to arrest Max for her heist of a 33 million dollar jewel, but his feelings of betrayal are sidelined by a bombshell revelation from Max; she’s learned the identity of his brother’s murderer. Season 2 raises the stakes for our duo both in terms of the cases they’re tasked to solve in each episode and their feelings for each other.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy premieres September 13 on Disney+. In the four part special, the entire Star Wars galaxy gets completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling, unearths a powerful artifact called the Cornerstone from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together. It will feature the voices of Gaten Matarazzo (Sig Greebling), Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (Servo), Ahmed Best (Darth Jar Jar), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).

The three part Vanderpump Rules reunion will premiere May 14 on Bravo. Host Andy Cohen is joined by Lisa Vanderpump, Ariana Madix, James Kennedy, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz and Brock Davies to reflect on a tumultuous season that left the group more fractured than ever before. Ally Lewber and Jo Wenberg join the group in part two. Following part three of the reunion, a special Vanderpump Rules: Secrets Revealed episode featuring unexpected never-before-seen moments from the season will be available to stream May 29, exclusively on Peacock.

The Acolyte premieres June 4 on Disney+ with the first two episodes. An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master against a dangerous warrior from his past. As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems. The thrilling, suspenseful live-action series stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The Boys premieres June 13 on Prime Video with the first three episodes. In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.

Paramount+ has ordered a new comedy series starring Tracy Morgan titled Crutch. The series will be set in the world of CBS’ The Neighborhood. The series centers on its titular character, Francois “Frank” Crutchfield – or “Crutch” to those that know him well – a Harlem widower whose empty nest plans are put on hold after his millennial son and free-spirited daughter move back home. Crutch will be the cousin of Calvin Butler, further connecting the two series.

The Total Drama Island revival series will premiere on Cartoon Network June 1. The animated reality competition series will feature a new cast. Original host Chris McLean as well as Chef Hatchet will return.

Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik will reprise their roles of Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler in the series finale of Young Sheldon May 16. The series centers on Sheldon Cooper, a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science, which isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. The comedy takes viewers through his childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become.

Daytime television icons Susan Lucci and Maury Povich will be awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement honors at the upcoming 50th Daytime Emmy Awards. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) made the announcement on June 16, 2023, stating that both honorees have made significant contributions to the daytime television industry.

Susan Lucci, celebrated for her role as Erica Kane on ABC’s “All My Children,” has a history with the Daytime Emmy Awards. Before finally clinching a win, she had previously been nominated 19 times. Reflecting on the Lifetime Achievement honor, Lucci expressed her humility. “I am truly humbled to receive this esteemed award from the Academy,” she said. “Throughout my career, I have been incredibly fortunate to work alongside exceptional talents and embraced by my fans that have been with me every step of the way. This honor is not just a reflection of my journey, but a testament to the enduring power of storytelling and the profound connection we are so lucky to forge with audiences all over the world through television.”

Meanwhile, Maury Povich, known for his syndicated talk show “Maury” which ran from 1998 to 2022 following “The Maury Povich Show” (1991-1998), conveyed his surprise and gratitude at the recognition. “I’m just blown away by this honor from the Academy. I have always had great respect for its work as I served on the National Board and was President of the New York Chapter. I guess if you hang around long enough, some good things happen. It’s been a 60+ year ride for me in this business, so I feel extremely blessed with this acknowledgment.”

In addition to announcing the Lifetime Achievement honorees, NATAS revealed the 2023 Gold and Silver Circle inductees. Tanya Hart, Wendy Riche, Al Schwartz, and Vernée Watson will be welcomed into the Gold Circle, while Christina Knack and Patrick Weiland are set to join the Silver Circle. All these individuals are recognized for their enduring contributions to daytime television.

The award ceremony, initially slated for June 16, was postponed due to a writers strike. The new date will be announced in due course, and it will see the celebration of the Lifetime Achievement and Gold and Silver Circle honorees.
